Okay guys and gals.
Here is a challenge for you.
I get my tax return in a few weeks.
Already filed them.
And...I am getting a shit ton of money back!
I am embarrassed to even say the amount.
Let us say that I have spare money coming up to buy a deck.

http://www.mtgvault.com/jessie/decks/please-make-my-goblin-deck/

That link takes you to a list of 35 Goblins that I own. Valued at 200 dollars. Lots of key/good Goblins.
Guides, Instigators, Warchiefs, Kings, Matron, Siege, Krenko, etc.

Here is the challenge: I want to make a really damned good Goblin Deck.
I want everyone to help.
On top of those 35 Goblins I have 100 to 150 USA dollars to buy any card to make the deck.
Might even could afford something like 4 Goblin Lackeys or 1 or 2 Aether Vials or 1 or 2 Goblin Piledriver.

Looking for the deck to be Legacy/Vintage, around 300-350 total cost.

So far I am most loving the idea of using:
3-4 Goblin Lackey
3-4 Warren Instigator
3-4 Siege Gang Commander
3-4 Krenko
And simply overrunning my opponent with Krenko Tokens.

Something like:
Turn 1. Goblin Lackey
Turn 2. Use Lackey to cheat in Krenko
Turn 3. Use Lackey to cheat in Siege, tap Krenko 6 1/1 Goblins.
Turn 4. Either Goblin Chieftain or Goblin Warchief, tap Krenko for more tokens, win the game.
Yippie

But anything is up for grabs.
I can even do a fancy Aether Vial Goblin deck!

I am right.
Daze is great.
Watch someone's face when you pull it off on them!!!

They see you have no mana, they try to remove your 20/20, and then you pull Daze on them!
Their faces will fall off.

I did so.
You are welcome.
Any advice for this deck?

This deck is not my sorta deck, but +1 anyways for some of the nice combinations you have going on.

Daze is rated 4.6 out of 5 stars, by the way!!!
That makes it higher ranked than 6 out of 10 counterspells that you have in your deck.

Dismal Failure = 3.6 out of 5 (not even a 4 star counterspell, weak!)
Mana Leak = 4.5 out of 5. Still not as highly ranked as Daze. Close but no cigar.
Negate = 4.2 out of 5. Weaker than Daze.

Only Counterspell in your deck that rivals Daze is Remand.
And Remand is damned expensive and can not even counterspell a card unless you have 2 mana!!
Foil can counter for free. Daze can counter for free. Force of Will can counter for free.
Remand can not.

Daze is the key, friend.

Then the Master card, is what you are waiting for?
Still...as soon as you cast it, it is going to be nuked.

Turn 1-2 you cast free stuff
Turn 3 you cast your 20/20 creature and are out of mana.
Your opponent Murders it.
Good game, your opponent won.

However
Turn 1-2 you cast free stuff
Turn 3 you cast 20/20 and are out of mana.
Your opponent casts Murder but you Daze it.
Good game, you won.

Urza's Armor, maybe?
Extreme with the 6 mana though.

Very interesting idea.
Having to wait until you can cast the Archmage to play all of your free artifacts, nice.
Right off the bat, though, I can tell you that your choices for counterspells sucks.
If I am your opponent, as soon as you cast Archmage I am going to remove it.
If it is your Turn 4, you cast it, guess what, you are out of mana? Right?
So I cast a Lightning Bolt or Murder on him. He dies.
This is where something like Foil or Daze works miracles.

Turn 4. You cast Archmage.
In response I cast Murder.
In response you cast Daze (by using the alternate casting cost of returning one Island to your hand) and save your Archmage.

Same deal with Daze.
Your opponent knows you have counterspells. And he is smart. Knows what he is doing. He will wait until you have tapped all of your mana to play his best card. He plays his best card, and BAM!!, you return an Island to your hand and Daze him.

Good luck.

Mind checking this one out?

Newest legend rule allows this (not really new rule...but you get the point).

Have 1 Flagstone in play.
Have 1 Flagstone in your hand.

Tap the First Flagstone to produce 1 white mana.
Put into play the Second Flagstone. The First one goes to the graveyard fetching you a tapped Plains.
Now tap the second Flagstone for 1 white mana.
Outcome is that you have 2 mana that turn and an extra tapped plains.
Not practical...but neat.

And Harrow is great for dual color decks...it helps fetch you the right color mana.
And 20 dollars cheaper rocks!

Ghostly Prison or some other stall method. Or more mana ramp like something along the lines of Harrow.

Green flying.
That is neat.
I wonder if they have stuff like Blue Trample?

Here is my idea I stole from you.
Have green flyers that have this ability "can't be blocked except by creatures with flying" with 4 copies of Bower Passage.
That is if they have any creatures with flying that have that ability.

Always play test the deck and proxy it before buying. I think it looks nice though.

Honestly did not know green had that many flyers!!!

Neat card to look at....Whippoorwill.
Look at the cover art for the card.
The bird is flying and yet does not have flying.
I heard...since that artistic error that MTG sends very specific designs to the artist of the card telling them certain things (like "we need you to draw a whippoorwill. he needs to be on the ground because he does not have flying.")
I am sure you already knew that story though!

I suggested to surewhynot, the administrator, that reputation should buy you Hot Spots or more chances at getting your decks noticed. He said it was a bad idea because the same 3 or 4 people would get all the attention. My response was that this is community: the more you put in the more you get back. I definitely think there should be some benefit from earning reputation.
