Add in the fact that his warriors are pumped up with Obelisk of Urd, Chief of the Scale/Edge, Raider's Spoils, and Rush of Battle with all of the life gain he has...and I think his strategy is to outpace flying creatures.

It is a very nice deck.

However, with Gaea's Touch you are only allowed to play an extra basic forest every turn.
So it will be tricky. But it could work.

Has to be budget..that means no fetch lands or Lotus Cobra. :(
