You have to put in Skirdag High Priest. This is the kind of deck he's made for!

I feel like Vampire Nighthawk could take the place of Basilica Guards. Also I don't like Orzhov Charm, but that's just preference. Otherwise not bad :)

Cool deck! I love Stab Wound, you might too. Oblivion Ring can also be a nice card in an extort deck. Undying evil might work too.

Also, what cards do you feel were your weakest links or least useful?

Ok , burn I kinda saw coming, but could you be a bit more specific on what things people did that really through off your game? Also what was the win to lose ratio ?

Considering this is mono black, perhaps Vampire Nighthawk would be better than Giant Scorpion.

With Ludevic I'll need a Mask of Avacyn. I just don't feel like I will always have enough attackers to justify it. As for Keening Stone, it's sadly not standard legal. But I'll keep it in mind for my modern mill deck, thanks for the suggestions.

Trepenation Blade needs attackers, but I have Defenders. Cellar Door might work here! I certainly will have a lot of stalling time.

I like the card. But unfortunately it's not standard legal.

Hmm, I think I'll try that. However, I'm going to takeout some Killing Waves. I haven't been too happy with them.

OK, here is the deck I have built for you that meets your specifications and preferences.

Creature (18)
4xBlood Artist
4xDesecration Demon
2xHarvester of Souls
4xSkirsdag High Priest
4xWakedancer

Enchantment (2)
2xUnhallowed Pact

Instant (12)
4xTragic Slip
2xTribute to Hunger
4xUndying Evil
2xVictim of Night

Planeswalker (2)
2xLiliana of the Veil

Sorcery (4)
4xMutilate

22xSwamps

Sideboard (15)

Creature (4)
4xGeralf's Messenger

Enchantment (2)
2xGrave Betrayal

Instant (9)
3xDevour Flesh
3xMurder
1xTribute to Hunger
2xVictim of Night

The main goal of this deck is to basically kill your opponents creatures and then use cards that benefit from creatures dying. For example, Wakedancer brings in a second creature if a creature died that turn. This pairs nicely with Skirsdag, High Priest who can bring in a 5/5 flying demon if he taps himself and two other creatures (Wakedancer) provided a creature died that turn. Blood Artist does a life gap of two whenever a creature dies. Harvester of Souls allows you to draw cards whenever a creature dies. both these cards pair very nicely with Mutilate as it can do loads of damage (Blood Artist) or make you draw tons of cards (Harvester of Souls). Unhallowed Pact adds insult to injury as not only will you kill your opponents biggest creature, but you'll steal it too! However, Unhallowed Pact can also be used on one of your own creatures in a pinch. Undying Evil is also a nice combo card for this deck. Of course you can play it on any creature. However, if you play it on Wakedancer, you are guaranteed a 2/2 zombie token. Desecration Demon gives you the best of both worlds. Even though your opponent has the option of sacrificing a creature, they lose no matter their choice.

If you would like a more budget black deck. Take a look at my Mono black Evil Never Dies deck.

I was going to suggest Sublime Archangel but it's an expensive card, so I asked if it was budget. :)
