Compared to what it could be for Modern? It really is. Tbh, I could take out the Aether Vials and that would basically straight up make it budget.

Hey, fair enough. This is a list that I put together in like a half hour the other night when the idea hit me.

That's kinda why I wanted to do this in Mono White. They always say White has a hard time, so I figured I'd try to find something that works really well with it.

And why not?

I mean, some do, but it's all for the might of Phyrexia.

I did for a while, but my computer went down for several months, and I haven't cared to rebuild on Arena

I needed some sort of solid removal, and Heartless Act really had to be it. I do really like the deck archetype, so it should be fun. You could easily replace the Garrison cat with either the Fiends. I just run the cat because of the synergy with things like Priest. Hunted Witness is another strong option.

Bastion would sadly also rule out Lurrus as a companion, as much as I really do like it. Idk, I'm personally not a fan of the companion mechanic. And I feel like Lurrus is definitely a win-more card in this deck.

Lurrus cannot be your companion if he is also in your deck. He is 3cmc and requires all permanents in your deck to be 2cmc or less.

Because to run the other 3 Lurrus, they all have to be in the deck, sadly. I thought about it, but I wanted to run the full 4.

Devoid cards still have color identities, they are just colorless. A cards color and color identity are two separate things. Color identity takes a look at colored mana symbols anywhere on the card. The reason that colorless cards, like most artifacts don't count against a commander's color identity is that A.) They have no colored mana symbols on the card, and B) Colorless isn't a color.

There's a few. You could do something similar with Korlash Blackblade, I believe. But yeah, it's kinda an old meme deck, but it still looks fun.

Sadly, no. Because they are both red and green. Commander requires all cards to only have colors of the commander's identity. Since Ashling is only red, she can only have cards with Red or colorless cards. However, you could you something like Manamorphose in, say, Animar.

You could. This was mostly to see how cheap I could make a Commander deck that would work. This was the very basic bare bones of it. Also, cannot use Wild Cantor or Manamorphose in this deck since they have Green in their color identity.

I mean, the deck is definitely funny, maybe not that good.

I probably don't, but it's still more for fun/flavor. Could definitely run some quenches and Heartless Acts or such to provide extra removal/interaction.

Instants don't trigger the flash effects. Basically everything in my deck is an instant, though. The Omeb of the dead is a.) A cheap trigger for things like Slitherwisp, and b.) To get back a key card like a slitherwisp or Nightbonder.
