Yeah, sadly, that's the easiest way. But yeah, since all the talismans tap for 2 colors, they're not legal for mono-colored decks.

But yeah, I figured the combo probably needed Blue or Green...

Only a few problems. You can't use the Talismans here, and secondly, what are you using to untap the trading post?

I'm trying to think. Maybe it's something that can be done with Squee, somehow.

@Alfred, the commander lotus that we're talking about is Jeweled Lotus that was spoiled in Commander Legends a few days ago.

The thing is, I'm still going to be happy to see a sol Ring on turn 5-6 when I already have my commander out. It isn't a 100% dead draw. This is. Like, I get that a later game sol ring doesn't bare as much clout as the t1 sol Ring into Signet, but that is still ramp I can use right now. And Sol Ring also isn't a one-shot thing. Sure, you can recur this, but how many ways are there to recur an artifact for 0? Not a lot. You have stuff like buried Ruin, etc, but most of those have a cost to it. Idk, it's just not as good as it's hyped to be.

It's situational. The fact that it is only one color can be limiting, but like, my Sai deck would love it. Anything outside of one or two color, cmc 4 or less, I dont think it's that good

I mean, it really is. Outside of that, you're just building value. Charming Prince does a good job at either finding missing pieces, or keeping your life high enough to survive until you get to where you need to be.

Tbh, you could (and maybe should) drop a Thassa or Broodmoth for another Forerunner

Honestly didnt even really think of that. I just love Spirits as a tribe, and they look pretty strong in Modern/Pioneer

Lol, I appreciate it! I've been on here for quite a while. I remember something did happen way back when. I'm pretty sire I lost a lot of decks back then.

I like to think so. I love tribal decks, and this one just seems to fit so well.

That's actually where I got the start for this, was the MTGGoldfish video. There is definitely some tuning that needs to be done. I need to tone down my curve a little, make it more aggressive. The juniper order Rangers are nice, but they're too expensive, sadly. I was thinking maybe running Metallic Mimic instead, but that doesn't trigger the "Human ETB" triggers. This deck definitely has a lot more evasion with Falconer, Tuskguard, and Champion of Lambholt. This was also built with being semi-budget in mind, but the sideboard could absolutely run some other tech pieces for burn, etc.

I mean, yeah, I'll definitely take suggestions. And I didnt even realize that those 4 cards were eating so much budget. I had to keep the Omni, just because, well, combo, but yeah, much more budget now.

I'm guessing you meant Nykthos, Pemmin's and Sapphire? As well as Omniscience?

Thank you! I almost debated on using Rakka Mar as the commander for that one, but I still think Ashling is the better option.

I actually just redid this list last week to modernize it some.

Ideally, I'd be able to fir 4x Selfless Spirits in for the 4x Bygone Bishops, but again, this is by far the more budget brew.
