And here's my take on Lava Axe being good :P

Another idea:

Imprint Lava Axe on Panoptic Mirror. Then use Paradox Haze to speed up the clock.

Or

Imprint it and any Retrace sorcery (like Flame Jab) onto Spellweaver Helix.

I know they're probably not budget options, buy they would be fun to pull off.

Have you thought about creature based mana ramp?

Arbor Elf + Utopia Sprawl generates a lot of mana very quickly (4 usable mana on turn two). Only problem is Utopia Sprawl has a pretty price tag ($4 normal, $13 foil) [so glad I got my set when they first came out].

Another two card, lots of mana 'combo' I'm personally wanting to try out is Viridian Joiner + Umbral Mantle. But again, one of the two (Umbral Mantle in this case) is pricy ($5 normal, $10 foil). A fun part about this combo is you can use Fling on Viridian Joiner once it's big enough.

Another three card combo is to have both Orochi Leafcaller and Sachi, Daughter of Seshiro out and enchant either with Freed from the Real.

Another route that I like is defenders. You wish to win with big burn spells, so a bunch of defenders isn't working against your gameplan. Overgrown Battlement and Axebane Guardian both tap for an amount of mana equal to the number of defenders you control. And depending on how heavy green you go, Traproot Kami makes for a great turn one play.

Baral is legendary, and you only have 3 counterspells, so wouldn't it make more sense to have 4 Goblin, 3 Baral?

Here's rough designs on the two ideas I had:

Elemental:
http://www.mtgvault.com/dedwards/decks/elemental-mimic/

Haste:

I had to cut some cards I wanted to use to take it down to 60, but still be effective. I also designed them from scratch.

Both my ideas are viable, but I'd personally go with playing on the Elemental creature type, although that's because I'm a sucker for tribal themes.

With most of your creatures killing themselves at the end of the turn, the Siege isn't that bad. Impact Tremors is good for mana efficiency, but I suggest working in one or two Purphoros for that extra little bit of damage.

Basically I have ideas that either play on the Elemental creature type, or the haste ability that give bonuses, but not necessarily both.

Cards with Purple Time Spiral symbols are Modern legal, unless they find their way onto the banned list. So yes, Pandemonium is legal.

Other cards that do the same or similar job:
Impact Tremmors (Possibly the cheapest option)
Purphoros, God of the Forge (Indestructible and not a creature most of the time)
Flayer of the Hatebound (this one is nice because it has Undying)
Outpost Siege (Choosing Dragons, triggers on creatures leaving the battlefield)

Nacatl War-Pride works very nicely with these cards :p

I like the idea. I can think of two very similar routes to take this, but first I need to know what you think is the most important goal (besides winning) for this deck?

Had Goblin Dark-Dwellers in the deck from word go. It pulls it's weight and then some. In addition to its etb, it's also a 5 mana 4/4 with Menace, making it difficult to block and resistant to a good amount of targeted removal (specifically Abrupt Decay; Lightning Bolt; and Fatal Push).

Pretty good. Made the top 8, only to lose 2-1 in the semi's due in part to a poor sideboard decision.

I strongly recommend trying the Orb mainboard for a while.

This is Tentacruel:

A few Pauper mill cards to consider:

> Drowner Initiate: {U} 1/1 that lets you pay {1} more for any blue spell to mill 2. Not an impressive mill, but it can be added to almost any card you play, and it's a Merfolk, which triggers Ink Dissolver.
> Dream Twist: {U} to mill 3 with a flashback of {1}{U}. A fair mill amount considering you get to cast it twice, which Drowner Initiate likes.
> Memory Sluice: {U/B} to mill 4. The bonus here is the Conspire effect, which works here as you have a decent number of creatures.
> Thought Scour: {U} to mill 2, but it is an instant that draws you a card.
> Shriekhorn: {1} artifact that enters with 3 charge counters and taps to mill 2 at the cost of removing a charge counter. That's {1} to mill a total of 6.

Other cards to consider:

> Ponder and Preordain: Both VERY good cantrips. There's a reason they're banned in Modern.
> Counterspell: The original counterspell.
> Quicksand: A lot of creatures in Pauper die to the -2 on this land. This was printed as a common in Worldwake.

Boros Garrison? You can bounce it to its own effect, effectively giving you a landfall trigger every turn.

The best advice I can give is to show you my Warrior deck:

http://www.mtgvault.com/dedwards/decks/aggressive-elf-warriors/

I can, however, voice a few concerns about cards you have in here:

> Talara's Battalion: I found this to be good on paper, but terrible in practice. This is mostly because my hand was empty most of the time when I drew it. Without a way to play it reliabley, it was often a dead card in my hand.

> Hunting Triad: I personally prefer Gilt-Leaf Ambush over this for two reasons. 1) it's an instant, and 2) The slim possibility for temporary deathtouch, making for a great surprise block and not having to wait a whole turn to attack. The semi-scry effect is also useful.

> Obsidian Battle-Axe: Despite all the creatures being Warriors, I found Rancor to be MUCH better in its slot.

With the high number of fetch lands in Modern, you should be running 4 Archive Trap. You're also missing the best mill artifact in the format: Mesmeric Orb. Shelldock Isle is also great in mill decks, and Surgical Extraction gets rid of most annoying shuffle back effects like Tentacruel, the Aeons Torn.

Basically, you're lacking in combat evasion. The best "in colour" card I can think of is Apostle's Blessing, but other options include Madcap Skills; Rush of Adrenaline; and Rouse the Mob. You're also lacking in ways to refuel your hand (other than Bedlam Reveler) in the main deck, but you're running red, so that's difficult. You also want to consider adding 4 Mutagenic Growth, 2 life for +3/+3 (because of triggers) is worth it.

Also, I'd run a few less creatures in favour of more spells, allowing for more triggers and one more Bedlam Reveler. Creatures that can be removed for mana efficiency are Bloodfire Enforcers; Bloodfire Expert; and Pyre Hound. If you don't want to lower the creature count, here's some more mana efficient replacements: Blistercoil Weird; Abbot of Keral Keep; Mage-Ring Bully; Sanguinary Mage; and Tattermunge Duo. The Duo is interesting because it gains forestwalk from Mutagenic Growth.
