i may be wrong, but biomass mutation just means that they become x/x. they retain their defender ability and cannot attack to win except ludevics test subject

my golgari deck might interest you, i find scavenge counter intuitive for self mill but overall i like it!

drown in filth would be my favorite golgari control, with evolving wilds/ghost quarter making it potent quickly and throwing stuff in your graveyard

hey i love the deck, golgari everything used attitude is a fun way to go for sure! that said when running jarad/splinterfright/boneyard wurm scavenge is a counter intuitive strategy (slitherhead/dreg mangler)! and if im not mistaken pithing needle is the way to stop tormods crypt or rest in peace most efficiently! my self mill is more stripped down to the nothing wasted strategy (evolving wilds/ghost quarter for turn 2 drown in filth guaranteed control, etc) and would be appreciated if you could throw some input/advice my way!

hm this is cool! i toyed with the idea of making my self mill blue as well if only for chronic flooding and hedron crab to help the graveyard grow starting really early! that combo with ghost quarter and evolving wilds would be frightening for making drown in filth viable turn 2 for -3/-3 guaranteed and a possible -7/-7 screw you to an opponents creature. and if it doesnt mill lands then splinterfright/boneyard wurm/ghoultree will come out quick and stompy! personally slitherhead/scavenge in general arent great in a self mill deck i feel but whatever works! decided to make my own green/black but im thinking of making it blue now! if only i could get all those dual lands and the deathrite shamans i would be a happy man. overall id say your deck looks fun!

I cut out the scavenge from my self mill personally since it's counter intuitive to a creature heavy graveyard

I threw a self mill standard together, and think you need to focus your "everything used, nothing wasted" golgari style attitude; varolz and scavenge abilities in general are counter intuitive in a self mill deck since they exile your win condition, a full graveyard. evolving wilds and ghost quarter are the best choice for helping drown in filth be viable by turn 2, and floating a mana from ghost quarter before destroying your own land give you the right distribution of mana and gives an available 1 for the turn, or can be used to destroy opponents annoying lands (kessig wolf run, etc). the fact you have 4 deathrite shamans is beyond dope, i wish i did, made mine budget. overall, i like it, feel free to check out mine for pointers/advice

I find boneyard wurm is counter intuitive in a scavenge deck, works better in a straight up self mill deck. i threw one together and took it out in favor of splinterfrights!

yeah descendants path would definitely not be necessary, maybe a sideboard against more pacifism/control heavy decks lol

how quick have you been able to win? it seems like turn 1 would be a diregraf or gravecrawler, but from turn 2 even with 4 good creatures to discard onto a lotleth troll that would only run about 11 damage by turn 3 if everything goes right getting a dreg mangler or geralfs messenger out? am i missing a combo? the scriveners will let you draw two cards you can play out from your hand since everything is so cheap, and golgari charms can regenerate the frontlines to keep swinging aggro, so is your bread and butter a turn 5 win? sorry haha trying to see your thought process on the deck

especially fun since this deck is almost half creatures, so you have a good chance to upkeep drop a zombie or two a turn

Word; that flavor text for woodland cemetery made me want to create a golgari deck in true fashion where nothing is wasted. looking at how the deck works, it always brings to mind that flavor text, since that is exactly what happens lol
