I think its cool and would be fun to play, although when I toyed with the idea I was either focused on those black spells that cause an opponent to lose 3 life and myself gain 3 life, since there was at least two of them in the environment, and black gave me access to discard and murder spells. The other idea I had was about using that murmuring mystic as well, and then playing a lot of "copy target creature" type spells.
First thing I could think of was... COOL! :DThen I looked closer and said to myself, "Why not use Helm of the Host?"I mean, I could use a wildcard to pick up Tezzert and hope to get his emblem, OR I could use helm of the host (I have 3 copies) to make copies of the navigator before activating it. Just be sure to equip the copy before ending my turn, then take a new one, get a new copy.I'm not sure how it would work in this list, but I was just thinking of how to make it work with the cards I already had and that's what came up.Thanks for the awesome idea!
Pilgrim of heliod isn’t expensive though, and I wasn’t asking you to make the deck more expensive. I only ment to observe that the deck core is so solid that about the only way to improve it was to use money. I’m sorry that I wasn’t clear. I do plan on working on this deck idea though, because it’s fun.
Heliods Pilgram! That’s the aura tutor I was thinking of. Same mana cost as idyllic tutor, but can block and is another body to hit with that wisp spell. Also, how did basilisk collar test?
+1 for originality and fun. As easy to pull off as 1,2,3. Maybe something like idyllic tutor or something to fetch lifelink auras. Also, if I wanted to spend some money on this deck I could fill it in with some board wipes to help keep the game from going sideways on a bad draw.
I solidly believe this deck needs more overrun. Also, so far has been really fun to play.
But talara's battalion isn't.
Nice!
I was playing this earlier and just went:Turn 1: forest @ elfTurn 2: forest, Copter, poke with elfTurn 3: forest, Animate the copter, enchant with rancor, swing for 5. Discard a land, and hold on to my 3 pump spells, with 2 mana untapped. 3 more turns to victory Turn 4: Repeat turn 3 and realize that there’s nothing left for my opponent to do. My hand is filled with hexproof pump spells and I have more mana than I need. Seriously, I swing and throw in a kicked vines. I still have a blossoming defense a baloth and rangers guile. There at 5 life. Unless they paid for lands.
Totally +1'd this deck for the name alone.
Thanks!........
Cute, but I've found asceticism to be a bit too-little, to late in the past, so I'll add em to the side-board for now. Let's try overrunning the opponent before they have a chance to build up a work-around.
Hatebears does sound like a natural evolution for the deck, and I'm glad you pointed it out to me, thanks! However, part of the fun of DBC's is the way it exercises creativity and the feeling of "new," so I'll save hybrid color hatebears for another day. That being said, actual hybrid color cards like oversoul of dusk will count since they can be run in an all green deck.
Not bad, several new cards I haven't considered, this will take a while to playtest out.
I kniw, right? XD
This sounds good. I will also do some research into hatebears. Thanks!
Oooh... ty!
Yes, it makes a lot of sense. My original reply was more along the lines of "every deck could use more sphinx's revelation" cuz I typically love that card.
Decoction Module and whirler, and put them in the side board. The backup plan doesn't interact well at all with the fling/colossus combo, so it really feels like an either or, based on match-up, kinda deal.
