To be really sadistic, the moment you have the upper hand and also have Erayo flipped, Toss in Arcane Laboratory. That totally locks the game up past that, Since now you can only play one spell, and that spell is countered.

This is the terror of our game circles. We just refuse to play it anymore because it stopped being fun to lose EVERY ...SINGLE....GAME.

I have a deck very close to this, but we just call it NO. I use Fade Away a lot. Its pretty nasty if you are going up aginst a Token deck or a big beater.

Because nobody likes Eldrazi? They have abilities that are far and above anything else in MTG, they do things with one card what entire decks 3 or 4 Expansions ago were trying to do, they are colorless so they can go in any deck and can easily be gotten out with just a couple simple tricks. They frankly break the game if you can afford them or are lucky enough to get them from a booster.

Nothing personal, I just wanted to Rant about the Eldrazi and you wanted comments.....Your deck is perfectly fine :)

Consider tossing in 4x Great Furnace and maybe 2x Mana Echoes. With Mana Echoes + Pentavus you can have an Infinite mana combo, and in this deck it would also be an Infinite Life combo.

What i do to test a new Deck idea is to Print out draft copys of the whole deck, cut them out, slip them into sleeves, and play about 20 games with them with my wife, roommate, whoever. If they work as good as good as i think they will, I buy the cards. If not, it gives me room to print out a few replacements and try again.

I had this same idea, and what i found to be amazingly effective is an Isocron Scepter with Counterspell imprinted on it, and Arcane Laboratory. Means no matter what they put out that turn, You wont let it happen. Total lockdown with those two out.

Im trying to figure out a good way to do that without compromising the already over-sized deck.

Mitotic Manipulation would be a great idea if i were facing a moderately faster deck, Its too good to pass up so ill toss it in a sideboard, More ammo against direct damage.

Anybody have any mind-bending advice? Im trying to make use of the Pentavus + Mana Echos infinite combo, therefore i have a large bit of search cards. My only problem is time. Ill almost always win by turn 4 or 5 but thats not going to hold up to the decks that im used to playing aginst. I need more creatures, but i dont want to sacrifice the searching or probability of drawing the cards i need.

I think you may have better luck with Ulamog's Crusher or maybe Hand of Emrakul....simply because Emrakul is so ungodly expensive even with Nirkana out. Unless all your wanting is Emrakul's extra turn.

Screaming for a Nuisance Engine. For the price of this deck, I have to admit its pretty nasty. Great for bite for the budget!

I thought about it, but Bribery is only 1 creature per card, with longbow/Charisma/Crab its as many islands as i have to tap, per turn. Bribery might make a really good Sideboard card, if i know that person has a monster in his deck that i want....Im looking at YOU Ulamog!

My whole idea is to very quickly shut down any other deck by forcing them to only play one card during their turn, which i counter with a counter spell on my Scepter. This should force the game to go on long enough that i can get a few Horseshoe Crabs into play, with Charisma and Viridian Longbow on them. If this happens, i can take as many creatures per turn as I have untapped Islands. If im in a good position at the end of the turn, any crabs and mana that i have left over can be turned into direct damage. I would really appreciate any advice....Iv played magic for quite a while (since Kamigawa) but im still nowhere near as good as i would like to be.
