Oh yea. but anyways, I still say you make the deck the best you can until sept 30th. Thats 2 months and 15 days still. 10 FNM tournaments. And then you only have to change like 10 cards and you can keep playing. Things will come out in Inndistrad that will be nice probably. No reason to limit yourself more than you have to.

Chalice is amazing with unwinding clock. You're gonna want the mana gen to be able to pop off your empires every turn. It would be complete game control. Almost all the cards that are going out on sept 30th are cheap cards. And its not like you couldn't use them in legacy or edh afterwards. You'll just have to altar it in 2 months. Both of us will be in college and will most likely not be participating in FNM after late august anyways.

You know you cant regen something that was sacrificed....?

Updated to be standard as of 7/11/11. Could still use suggestions for side board. The only things I really need are Melira for anti-infect, and Emrakul for anti-mill, and leyline of sanctuary for anti-burn..

Still unsure about other lands, could use suggestions for mana ramp, creature searching, and other kill combos.

Demonic tutor restricted to 1. Try a worldly tutor. I'm making my own spin off of this deck if you don't mind. Gonna try to speed it up a little and look for some different kill cards.

I see no real reason to be playing goblin guide. I mean yes 1 mana hate 2/2 sick. but I dont think the downfall to it is worth it.

After playing I realized how much mana I am able to generate fairly quickly. I am currently playing momentous blink, but should I switch it out for join the ranks 2 more mana but another ally. Very close trade off.

Finally Built and Played this deck today. It was amazing! completely dominated a rather strong sliver deck several times. played in a tourny and went 7w 3l.

Im aware this is budget, but I think Rampaging Baloths would dominate in this deck. I'm really unsure of their price though. Can't be more than a couple bucks.

I highly suggest you take a peek at my elf deck. It is not EDH but it has very many elves that would work extremely well in this format. Check it out.

This is an amazing combo even though lotus petal is restricted to 1 in all types and so is flash. even in vintage. :(
Another way to turn 0 is with Leyline of anticipation in opening hand and throwing out lotus petal, and other such things to generate the 2 mana for flash or 3 for mystical tutor and then flash.

I also have built a very nice elf deck that generates mana. You deffinately need something to sink your mana into. I suggest Wrens run or things with X as a mana cost such as Genesis wave. An interesting way to kill your opponents is to gain more life than them then generate a hefty amount of mana and hurricane everyone to death. I have done it many times in my elf deck. Check it out.

I love followed footsteps, I've never seen it before. I was also thinking about something like copy artifact. That leaves my stuffy doll vulnerable to destroy enchant cards then though.

Exactly What I was Thinking. I do love card draws. But not if I have Enlightened Tutor etc. I've run a few sample Hands and I almost always have unlimited combo out by 7th turn.
