As previously stated, needs less lands and more creatures. I'd add skithyrix as a late game finisher.

I think i'm gonna keep white, actually. i had a deck like this except it used painters servant and grindstone. i only had one copy of each and 4 fabricates and it did surprisingly well. also, i'm too much of a fan of swords to plowshares.

hmmmmm, that is tempting, perhaps i'll do that, i am a fan of transmute cards. and it'll actually be like having more than 8 'cause of the fabricates.

looks like playing this in multiplayer would paint a giant target on your head, hahaha. Only thing that i would suggest is adding a misty rainforest or other 1 life fetchland instead of evolving wilds. but you said you can't spend much more and they're pretty expensive so yea.

This doesn't look too expensive.

it'd most likely do well. it's a pretty common build.

Another thing (sorry for multiple comments), you'd be surprised how much mana you can get with just llanowars and elvish visionaries. You may want to take a look at my R/G elves deck. It's made to swarm and kill quickly, but i've easily gotten 15+ mana on turn 4. And that's without any ramp besides llanowars, archdruids, and elvish promenades so my archdruids give a ton.

Assuming this is a copy of nearly every legacy merfolk deck (which it is, no offence), drop spreading seas, it's unnecessary. Also, most of the time these decks use spell pierce instead of counterspell. If you want to see many many copies of this deck, go look at legacy decks on magic-league.com.

I don't know if you know this, but mox emerald is restricted in vintage and banned in all other formats. It's also ridiculously expensive. if you want mana accel, use harrow, explore, primeval titan, or exploration. and there are many others. Unless you do have around 1700 dollars to spend on 4 mox emeralds.

Eh, that's a good suggestion, and i did know that combo prior to making this deck, the reason i didn't add it is because again, i love colfenor's plans, and it's kinda a running joke with the group i play with. So i'm not gonna add illusions, but i know that that's a damn good combo.
