So, I feel trolled.

You are telling me it is better to pay 1 life to play a swamp than to simply play a swamp?

Okay, I get it... I hate it, but I get it.

I do not see how you have three lands on the battlefield turn three with Gatecreeper Vine.

I have not proxied the deck so I am unaware of any issues it may have with land. Less land means Unexpected Results combos less.

To me, it seems you are stepping away from the speed aspect of this deck.

Clone would combo with Gatecreeper Vine.

You are telling me to replace eight Swamp with four Marsh Flats and four Verdant Catacombs, right?

We will keep the regeneration of the Ring. Our king, the Vampire Nighthawk, does not need to adapt.

Yeah, that does not sound terrible.

I like that deck, however, this deck I am building is suppose to be able to control more than just its opponents creatures.

I think I get it, but where I am running swamps, and only swamps, all playing that land would do would make me take one damage for playing a swamp.

All of the copy creature spells are great against creature-based decks.

What do you think of my control deck?

Ahh! Grim Affliction. I see. Well, I was trying to avoid using control/proliferate spells. I wanted to try and stick with black creatures mostly.

I do not see how those lands would be helpful in my mono-black deck. :P

I had forgotten about the lantern! That Surgical Extraction would be pretty beast, I would think. That takes care of all the keyrunes! Now to hone the deck to be a mind-slaving master of decks!

"I'm surprised you don't have from affliction for creature removal/ proliferation." What?

I like to have Skithiryx more of a "hey look what else I have in here" kind of a card. It is nice to get him, but I think I would prefer a fourth Corpse Cur, honestly.

Which lands are you talking about? I was going to look through the 41 land cards from the Zendikar block, but then I decided to not waste my time, haha.

ALRIGHT! My fellow Nighthawk enthusiasts, what do we remove to add Diabolic Tutor?

Great question. I think if we were expecting the ALL-POWERFUL Nighthawk to come devour us, we would get a little depressed.

I agree that the deck has a low enchantment count for Sphere of Safety, but I want to mention that Sphere of Safety stacks. One Sphere alone calls for one mana per creature. Two Spheres calls for four mana per creature. Three calls for nine mana per creature. So on and so forth.

Blocking is swell, but a mountain's fire is hard to hold back. The Vizkopa Bank could care less what creatures you possess when you have a debt owed.
