I like Mind Sludge, but it's a bit slow, and most people don't have much after turn 5 from my torrent of discards. Also, Mind Rot is 3 mana and they get to pick the two; Hymn to Tourach is 2 mana and it's random. Thanks for the suggestions though! :)

If your friends or other players at your local FNM run surgical extraction, splash in Mental Misstep. Even without any free mana, you can pay 2 life to counter a 1 CMC spell, putting extraction in its place. Thanks again, and I'm glad you like the deck! :)
