I have Runic Repition to get back Memory's Journey and Mystic Retrieval if someone decides to try and be cute and kill my Lab Maniacs multiple times. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

I have them in there to get back Memory's Journey or any other spell I need if I mill all of them. Thanks for the suggestion, but this current setup has worked well for me personally.

I've had quite high sucess with it myself. I appreciate the feedback, but I'm not interested in putting any Scars block or M12 cards in this. I'm also not interested in making it blue/green. Thanks for the suggestions, however.

You've got too many defender creatures and too few that naturally have flying.

Also, a friend of mine used a Chandra's Phoenix against one of my blue control/mill decks, and every time he would return it to his hand, it would get counter immediately after, so having personal experience against it, I don't prefer it in this deck. Like I said before, I'd rather have a 2/2 that can grow as my mana pool does (and two of these bad boys and Inferno Titan have helped me win in otherwise unwinnable matches, because my opponent could only block two and I had enough either way to pump one of them up just enough for the kill.) than just a 2/2 with haste and flying or a 1/2 that only activates when I have cards in hand and I'm willing to play. Bleh, sorry for the lengthy response, I don't mean to sound like I'm shooting your response down or anything, I just have really good reasons for keeping Hounds and Inferno Elemental in there.

swing for five/six damage on turn four, and then for more consistently after*

Sorry. Long day/night.

Both Kiln Fiend and Chandra's Phoenix are nice, but Fiery Hellhound can swing for five/six damage consistently with his ability after his sickness is off. Inferno Elemental is a good blocker, especially against stompy decks, because he's essentially a 7/4 and can kill small deathtouch and lifelink creatures before they can get anywhere near him. I do appreciate the suggestions, though.

Kiln Fiend would be good if he could consistently get the +3, but if I don't have any instants/sorceries in my hand (which, surprisingly, has happened in this deck) or I can't play them, he's just a 1/2.

It depends on what you want, what format, price range, mana curve, all that. If I make a deck, I need set guidelines, or it ends up looking like my "Alara Reborn" or "Affinity Deck" decks.

Never heard of being able to do that on anything. However, get a bunch of land cards, or cheap, played cards, etc. (ones you can write on). Write the names of the cards you want to test down on these, write down or remember the effects, and play a test match with them to see how good they do. That's what me, my brother, and pretty much everyone else I know who played back in the day or has played for a long time does.

No. The "low" price is the lowest price that MTGVault can search for any one card, usually on eBay, which is NOT 100% reliable. I buy my cards from Amazon or my local card shop, and it ran me about 35-40 bucks. Generally speaking, on MTGVault, you're probably going to pay between the mid and high price ranges somewhere, unless you catch a good deal.

It's all good. Just got annoying deleting repeat comments. This deck is probably better for more advanced Magic players. If you're just starting, you should have bought a starter deck/event deck, instead of a custom-made one. That's why they call them 'starter' decks. The event decks do just the same thing, only generally have slightly better cards.

Also, PLEASE stop posting the same comment 2-3 times. I'll see it if you post it once, posting it over and over only accomplishes the feat of annoying me.

I have this deck and several others on my MTGVault profile. I do NOT have every deck on my profile. The majority of them I made out of boredom/for fun/for friends. My other main deck is "Rawrzalicious Ablaze," which is a modern burn deck that I've had great success with since I recently bought it.

Not sure where you're going with telling me I need more creatures and then saying you won with two I have in here already, but okay. Cool.

Also, while I take into consideration everyone who comments' suggestions, I've been playing for years, and judging from your profile with three decks with zero cards in any and the descriptions of the decks being "I just started playing" made six days ago, I'm going to just go on a limb and say I know what I'm doing, generally. Not all of my decks on MTGVault are this good, but then again, I don't own every deck I've made on MTGVault.

I appreciate the suggestions and concerns, but this deck has been going pretty good for me, even better since I took pbrindley21's suggestion and put in Mindshriekers and then put in two more Shimmering Grotto's. Not every deck needs 30 creatures to win, bro.

Consider using Grafdigger's Cage to prevent flashback and spells that put creatures in the graveyard directly onto the battlefield. Other than that, I see good things in this deck. Me gusta. :D

I have 23 land, 21 if I've sacced both Fengrafs which is unlikely if I'm doing such a large Confusion. I've got plenty for a 60 card deck.
