what's your plan against arc trail, day of judgment, slagstorm? seems like any removal (which everyone is packing these days) would stall this out pretty hard. +1 for affordability, however.

12/30/11: 4-1 (swiss) -- lost to mono black infect...couldn't answer phyrexian crusader. 0-1 (top 8) -- lost to wolf run ramp...guy arc-trailed my precursor golem, we both wrongly accepted the arc trail replicating, cost me the game. reflection: the deck is nasty and really does have an answer for everything (except enchantments)...liliana and olivia, unanswered, are just disgusting together.
i like this a lot. +1 for originality alone.
but seriously -- if you're trying to make it more token-oriented, bloodline keeper could make things get pretty crowded, pretty quickly. take out massacre and diregraf, add more removal and bloodline. gotta meet the fliers in the air.
Fie indeed! Though the synergy between those cards is wildly enticing, I'm trying to keep things standard.
hahaha! description + a zillion.
weenie-killer.
oh, okay. thanks, bro! ;)
another 3 drop turn 2. two bodies to wear a sword or stop stromkirk or... she's good. trust me.
and mana leak keeps them on their heels whenever they feel like tapping out to drop a bomb, esp if you're trying to race them early game. feeling taps down their monster for the turn, and can be countered. mana leak turns their would-be monsters into just another card in the graveyard. but, if you're trying to race, it fills a nice niche for the reasons you stated above. i don't actually plan lessons anymore.
Yeah, you right about the reaction. I'm not so sure about their ability to stop stromkirk. stromkirk is a 2/2 (on the play) when the cat man comes out. and stromkirk exists only in burn decks. putting down the cat to stop him is sacrificing the cat to arc trail, shock, galvanic blast, etc. then strom gets stronger and you've been 2-for-1'ed, if nothing else, b/c the cat was your defense against a shrine that's coming out after stromkirk hits your mouf (or stormblood). i see it more as removal rather than early game chump-block. a viable alternative to early humans against noble is spellskite. he'll block stromkirk all day and eat ALL the aforementioned spells. blade splicer also kills stromkirk w/ her first striking golem (i'm just thinking out loud at this point). side in defensive stance to neuter stromkirk or gut shot to kill him outright. i don't know what i'm talking about anymore...
4 angry artifact cats in the main? replacing mana leak w/ feeling? specific. it seems like this deck plays to react rather than initiate. i want to see it in action.
this deck, despite being aggro, has a tendency to go slow. DoJ in the main is sick against tempered steel and other "all-in" aggro decks. if i'm playing rdw or some other burn, they side out for witchbane. but for now, they stay in, b/c they meet a need this deck has: sweeper. if it's ineffective in game 1, i'll side it out, but i like it's versatility. thanks for the crit.
yeah, thanks man. i esp. like the mayor (one of my fav. cards of the new set). he's so unassuming -- 'til the moon comes out ;)
i think 170 might be too many. try cutting it down to 60.
gideon is a nice control aspect that both locks down opponent's attackers and draws attention away from what's about to happen on the battlefield. he's a fine addition.
nihil spellbomb.
Reposting: "neg. it's never a bad idea to have a sweeper -- that is unless you're running suicide-aggro WW or goblins or tempered steel. there are decks that are quicker than mine and players that overextend. i like being ready for both. let tokens pour out their hand the turn before they overrun. how else am i going to get rid of a dozen hexproof illusions.? it's a good card. it stays for now. but thanks for the criticism." I've changed up the sideboard to try to compensate for control match-ups. It's hard to play when your opponent has 8 counters in their hand at all times.
I would remove the Cleavers. They tend to slow things down considerably. Otherwise, good deck. Fast as "all-get-out." ;)
both the compliment and offer are flattering. however, spelling is important. and i'm not clicking on your username (infected link) to look at anything. :- /
