Looks like someone played something like this in a Grand Prix. http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/deck/1412

Ooh, I did this. Well, I used Wydwen the Biting Gale, but it's UB! I'm actually not a huge fan of Dark Rit in EDH, unless you're comboing off it's just a waste.
Steve, how could you! We kept the Storm Crow combo out of legacy for a reason: Wizards hasn't caught on to it yet! You're gonna get this wonderful card banned on us!
only 2 DoJ? Oh, and you should look at a list of CawBlade, it's really good and it's not that hard to morph your deck into (stoneforge mystic + Sword of Feast and Famine is bonkers).
So wait, what're you trying to do here?
Updated: -1 Island -1 Crucible of Worlds -1 Geth, Lord of the Vault -1 Leyline of the Void -1 Nevinyrral's Disk +1 Mishra's Factory +1 Ninja of the Deep Hours +1 Æthersnipe +1 Capsize +1 Puppeteer Clique
yeah, it's nice.
Alright, so I'm probably going to start messing with the list soon, but I know that Crucible of Worlds is on the chopping block. The incremental advantage is really good with fetchlands, but this deck can't handle the hate brought on by turn 2 or 3 Crucible. It needs to stay low and unassuming until it can take control.
Updated: Maindeck -1 Throne of Geth, +1 Black Sun's Zenith Sideboard: -1 Black Sun's Zenith, +1 Gravitational Shift After a bunch of testing I really wanted a maindeck sweeper, so I moved a BSZ over from the board and added Gravitational Shift. Shift is ridiculously good against the aggro decks.
Ok, we're coming together here, I think I've got the board close to figured out, and I just realized what makes my version different from the Juza list: The Trinket Mage/Elixir package. It's nice.
Duress is certainly an option, but that'll probably be put in the board. I'm not boarding any more countermagic, keeping mana open is painful as it is. The spell pierces are nice to force through stuff though. I might board another 'tinker' target or two, some go for the throats/disfigures, and 2 black sun's zenith...hangon, lemme see if i can put something together.
I like this version, but I must say I prefer the UB version for mana consistency. But trust me when I say this: Ratchet Bomb is the real deal and you really should be playing more of 'em.
meh, I don't really wanna lock 'em down, I wanna dead them. If this was a focused Polymorph deck, I'd consider, but it's really a zany sideboard plan to dodge hate.
Trap has the power of anti-counter magic, it's really nice. I'm not a fan of It That Betrays over the legendary eldrazi though, but adding more is always a risk. Still, if you ever get enough mana (and it happens) you can loop two Emrakuls to take infinite turns. That's always fun.
It's really good. Unfortunately, it has the same problem as a BoP or Noble Hierarch: it dies to kill spells. Still, keeping 'em out is an effective deterrent against the aggro decks.
Fixed to Treasure Hunt. Also, I didn't want rebound in here for two reasons. 1: Rebound and copy effects aren't real great together. Sure, you get the extra cast, but it's kind of unexciting with the quality of rebound effects atm. 2: There are no rebound cards that say draw a card under 4 mana. I want cantrips more than anything else in this deck, to dig, replace themselves, and activate ascension. Staggershock, while a really good card, doesn't do that.
Bah, it seems the bulk Importer isn't perfect yet.
Bulk Importer is fantastic!! I think I can put all my crazy deck ideas up now.
Oh yeah, definitely
I think the formula to add pulse to the deck is like -2 cultivate, -1 Stoneforge Mystic, -1 Knight of the White Orchid, -1 Forest, -1 Plains, +4 Maelstrom Pulse, +2 Swamps. I think. You might be able to get by without taking out a plains and just having the one swamp.
