WHITE mana, not green.

That is a great card, unfortunately, I don't have one. It would certainly improve the deck significantly. If I find one in my local card shop, I'll be sure to add it. Thanks!

All the ones I own are in it. Minotaurs aren't on the top of my "must buy" list. Actually, I have a legendary minotaur, but it's a 3 color one, and I didn't feel like adding green to the mix just to include it.

Prior to my new additions, I did playtest this deck against a friend in a couple of games. He won the first game by duplicating a big green elemental and creating a ton of saprolings that became duplicates of the elemental...I had a clone of this creature as well and had a bunch of duplicates...but he upped the number beyond my ability to block and killed me.
Game 2 though, ended in my favor. Like the first game, he brought in that nasty creature, which I duplicated with a clone, but this time I managed to get my endless cycle of turns...and after about 5 he gave up when he knew it was just a matter of time. Of all the decks I have, this one has the potential to be the biggest "ass hole" deck...the kind that just pisses opponents off. All's fair...I've had my run ins with opponents who did nothing but burn burn burn with X cost red mana direct damage cards (Fireball, Blaze)...ending EVERY game with a big blast fire attack.

5-26 Taking rikimbo's suggestion, I added my two Vedalken Mastermind creatures to the deck. I also added three more Minamo Scrollkeepers (each allows me to increase my hand size +1). Then I went through my rares and found two more cards that fit in nicely: Renegade Doppelganger (which is yet another way to duplicate Archaeomancer); and Lighthouse Chronologist...I don't usually bother with leveling creatures, but this mythic rare is the perfect addition to the deck, giving me all sorts of extra turns at level 7 (especially in multi-player games).

I'd definitely have 4 spindrifts in the deck if I had them, but I only own 2.

5/25 Updated...added a bunch of new zombies, including not one, not two, but THREE Cemetery Reaper cards...I can't wait to test this one out. Though I did drop a slew of cards from the deck to the sideboard, I need to get the deck size down some more. Likely will drop the vanilla Warpath Ghoul, and a few of other relatively mundane zombies.

Updated 5/25 - lots of changes to the older deck, most of the Angels have since left to join my Angel deck. Many cards that were only in the deck to fit the celestial aura theme were also removed. In their place, I added a ton of creatures who increase life when they come into play. The deck size is a bit large, but the bulk of the deck lies in the 2-4 mana cost, so that shouldn't be an issue.

I only own 1 Wormfang. Vigilant's are fine, but they are high cost and require 3 mana to use their ability, 2 should suffice.

Good points. Skywinder shouldn't have been there, I thought I got rid of all the flying-only blockers. Sky Ruin is a good blocker though.

I used this deck against a friend, who fielded a vampire deck. The early game went all his way...he had about 73 life, and whittled me down to 1. He's not as experienced as me, so I spend the previous few turns helping him with card playing strategy, pointing out mistakes...basically, I knew the game was over for me, but wanted to help him become a better player. Than something happened, I got a big life gaining angel (don't remember which one) which all but nullified his persistent one flying vampire threat. Then he went on a four turn run of drawing land...and had nothing else to play in his hand. In that time, I managed to get a few more angels in play, exiled his flyer, killed his death touch defender (losing an Angel in the process)...then beat him down...amassing 86 life I took him down to 3 before he capitulated when he knew he couldn't win. Swear to God, that's what happened. In a span of 5-7 turns I reversed a -70 life deficit to a 85+ victory...an epic game. We were both pretty amazed when it ended. His deck was kicking my ass turn after turn...and I was throwing in the towel...but my deck came back. Of all my decks, this is the ONE that can literally come from the brink of death game after game. On several occasions, while play testing it against my other decks (mostly black), it did similar reversals, from 1-4 life, to defeating the opponent deck in a matter of turns.

I need to playtest the deck and get a feel for which card or creature is the "big finisher"...I need to look at all the high cost creatures, see which ones I never play from my hand, and which ones turn games in my favor.

I need to see how many creatures the deck typically has in play (and can keep in play). The Demonic Rising enchantment (on the sideboard) is only useful if I can sacrifice non-essential creatures (something Fallen Angel can do quite well). If it doesn't look like a viable strategy, I'll probably give the axe to the Fallen Angel, the Demonic Rising card. If it's a winning strategy...I have two more Fallen Angels I could add to the deck, but it would probably require me to dump some other high-cost creatures for lower cost fodder material.

I know I have Vedalken Mastermind in my collection, it would be a good addition (and since it's uncommon, I probably have 2 or 3). I have a bunch of cards from Urza's, 7th-8th-9th...but I don't have Temporal Adept...too bad, because it does fit nicely.

Thanks! I'll look into those. I was playing MTG 2013 on the Xbox and one of the decks on the game had the Time Warp + Archaeomancer + Followed Footsteps and a light bulb went off in my head. I looked up the cards, and it turned out I had them in my real-world collection...though I still haven't found Footsteps (erg). The deck listed hasn't been playtested yet, and I'm still working on the balance (the deck is still too big, but I just took out a few of the creatures and a couple of the big draw cards...if I could get it under 80, it would be ideal.

4-18-13 I removed the 4 Spawning Pool land cards from the deck, and side-boarded several other cards to bring the deck size down to 75. Will playtest this weekend.

Doesn't work yet. A strong Mill strategy, with nothing to support it. My full size Hermit deck has more tools, but it's too big and too expensive to make it viable in head-to-head duels. I think I need to cut the number of Mill effects (not eliminate them, just reduce the number) and supplement them with more creature removal. I can't win the game by taking my opponent's life to 0, I can ONLY win if I deplete his library to 0, so finding the right balance is crucial. Also, I'm debating in my head whether or not to throw in some basic lands...Islands, Plains and Swamps...though I like the flexibility of the dual and tri color lands, most either come into play tapped, or force me to return land to my hand, which makes the deck a bit slow. As it's not a creature deck, it doesn't NEED fast mana, but having it in play would make creature removing instants easier to play the first three rounds before larger cost artifacts and enchantments are brought to bear. Needs tweaking.

3-19-13 I just noticed that I do have the land available to utilize both blue & red as well...I might have to sample a few of those colors as well. I don't think I have enough mana generation to utilize single color spells, but I might be able to find some multi-color spells to supplement what I have.

2-8-2013 added more cards from many, many pre-constructed decks that I altered to some degree...dual decks, planeswalker decks, archenemy decks, commander decks. -- in the Phyrexia vs The Coalition dual decks, Phyrexian Negator is labled as mythic rare, but it's just a reprint of the rare Urza's Destiny card (which I also own), so technically, it shouldn't be here.
