This is just a revised idea of a current deck I had made, I have yet to test it out in FNM though. I hope for the best and it looks like it will do me well.

thanks for the advice, ill see how i can fit in guttersnipe
I was thinking of something different when i saw that lol. my bad haha
I like it, only thing I would change is take out abor elf since imo hes useless here and put in rancor's for the bonus damage and trample. Rancor's with Ooze is an amazing combo as well, along with all of your counters. Very well done otherwise. Please if you get a chance check out my new Burning Mill deck: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=410041
I see what you're saying, but I still think I need to leave in Naturalize. The reason I have Vorapede in there is another aggro beast. He has trample already and vigilance. Plus he has undying, instant come back from the dead and then I can boost him up as well. I just dont think removing him right now is the best option, not saying it wont happen, I just need to try this out a little more is all.
It would be fun but this is a standard deck unfortunately. Thanks for the suggestion.
Naturalize is in the for O-rings, Detention Sphere and other annoying enchantments. I agree with you but it is needed. As for Blessing of Nature, with only two I have a good chance of not having it in my opening hand for it's miracle cost. Rogue's Passage I don't feel it's worth the time since Predator Ooze will have rancor's, Vorapede already has trample and Hydra will have trample fairly quickly. Thragtusk is in here for support more or less, and everything else is scavenge worthy. I appreciate your input but this is what I have concluded from your suggestions.
Made some minor changes. -1 Delver -2 Talrand's Invocation +3 Jace's Phantasm
I like it very much. Only thing I would change is since this deck is not standard, switch tragic slip for dark ritual and -2 Vampire Nighthawk -1 Vampire Noctunus +3 Blood Artist. Very well done otherwise. If you get a chance please look at these two decks: Mono Blue Token/Mill - http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=405570 Mono Red Fling - http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=401532
I have Rootborn Defenses in SB, and I'm not a huge fan of Mikaeus or silverblade. Mentor is my only draw technique which allows me to overwhelm the enemy with cards. And Elite is like my baby, 2/2 First strike for WW with multiple protections is amazing to me. Odric is here because of the draw from mentor and the fairly low mana curve I will be pumping out creatures to make her stronger. Adding Intangible would be nice but I dont have the space even in SB and it only helps out certain parts of this deck. Thank you for your suggestions and if you would like me to look at any of your other decks I am willing.
Hey Aliski, I based a version of your deck but in my little twist to show you what I was talking about. It was roughly put together but I really like these 3 color combined and the potential they have. Here is the deck link: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=409464
I like what you are trying to do here and I love Cloudshift combo's (one of my favorite in standard atm). Unfortunately, I think your mana curve is a little high and any standard aggro deck would eat it alive. Some options might be -4 Somberwald Sage, +4 Avacyn's Pilgrim. -2 Elderscale Wurm -2 Elvish Archdruid, +4 Selesnya's Charm. Somberwald only helps creatures and you dont have a pure aggro deck nor Primordial Hydra, which would help also. Selesnya's Charm would go hand in hand with Parallel Lives. Also think of adding Call of the Conclave. You have many options to make this an amazing deck, but I would tweek it however you feel is appropriate. Hope this helped. Thanks for your comment on my other deck, if you get a chance please check out my U/R Talrand/Sniper deck: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=406965
Thalia is an anti-spell human that benefits what you are aiming for in this deck and for 1W 2/1 first strike, its not a bad card at all. If you were to turn this into more creatures and have only 1-2 different spells I would toss her in main deck. I dont currently use her in my FNM deck but if you're looking for ideas here is what I currently run: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=399383 If you get a moment please check out my other standard tournement decks: Burn at the Stake: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=401532 Sorcery Solitude: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=405570 This last deck is not mine, it is PoetMaster-X's but I use it as is for FNM's once a month and I absolutely love it. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=402163
Hey Poet, I'm really liking this deck. I haven't messed around with 3 color decks too much, I'm more of a mono/dual color type of guy. Only suggestions I would make is if you wanted to try fitting Epic Experiment in there. It is really handy and useful with these types of decks. Also, I might replace Azorius Charm with Counterflux x2 and move x2 Mizzium to main. This allows you to have a little more red in the main and also more variety. Plus, you can't go wrong with an anti-counter counter. Mizzium by itself is just fun as well. Hope this might have given you an idea or two. If you get a chance please check out some of my newest standard decks: Mono Blue Token/Mill - http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=405570 R/U Token/Burn - http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=406965 Mono Black Vampire - http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=403380
This deck has a lot of mana to start with, and you have mana ramp cards which really are not needed. I would try switching them out for Thragtusk (I know you dont have any but when you come across some) and Vorapede. You could probably leave one of the two mana ramp creatures in there just in case. Move Sublime to SB and move 2x Sigarda to main and add 2x Odric to main. This will allow you to be a more aggresive aggro deck. Lastly I would switch Selesnya for Rootborn into the main deck to prevent sweeps and all out swings/defense. Hope this helped, it's what I would do atleast. If you get a chance please check out some of my standard decks: Mono Blue Token/Mill - http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=405570 R/U Token/Burn - http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=406965 Mono Red Burn - http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=401532 Mono Black Vampire - http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=403380
It's a filler and can be used against aggro decks to slow them a bit. And if they aren't aggro then they just gives me a little more offense.
I will probably never be in a game long enough to use its flashback and you were the one to recommend it lol
Did you not read anything I put in the actual text about the deck? Thalia is a main priority to counter any spell decks/even just a few spells to make them cost more. Cavern of Souls is not useless if you read why it's in there. and the point of only having 1 Memorial in the deck is because of how low cost everything is, with Mentor of the Meek I will be drawing and casting creatures like crazy. Hence the "Aggro" portion of the title and how the deck is categorized. And lastly, my SB is used for switching between pure aggro and moving closer to mass tokens.
I already have Rancor in the main deck, and I have Avacyn's Pilgrim and Arbor Elf to help with mana so no need for more atm. I'm not too keen on Temple Gardens but thank you for your suggestions.
i did not realize that, could be a nice addition to the deck i will surely look into that. thanks again
