You broke the Estimated Value feature! :p

Thank you for your reply! Most of my follow-up is in my message on my own deck, but to answer your question it is the amount of mana acceleration and low mana curve that made me think this was more geared towards duels. Sol Ring is not great in multiplayer unless you get it early, I find that decks that go off fast often draw much aggro around the table and then gas out after one or two board wipes, although I do see you have answers planned for that to some extent.I hope you are having as much fun looking at my deck as I did your, I really enjoy this exchange of ideas.
Thank you so much for taking time to offer me this in-depth comment!I did mention in my description that our group has a ban on infinite combo, hence no Sanguine Bond as I picked Exquisite Blood over it. I did not mention a house rule ban on Sol Ring, the goal of which is simply to clear a slot for everyone in our decks because otherwise everyone plays one in each deck and that is a bit redundant.I hate Skullclamp with a passion. This is not a rational but visceral hatred that goes back to my tournament days and I have resolved to never ever play that card. Don't blame you for using it though. :)I am playing Kalitas in my Scarab God deck and I am trying not to be too repetitive, for everyone's pleasure.I have found the Banner to work really well in the few game I played, of course if Scroll Rack and/or Herald's Horn are out it gets much better.I am trying to carefully consider which decks I want to play The Immortal Sun in, cause I am afraid of ending up with the Sol Ring situation all over again where everyone runs that one card in all decks, it is just that good. You do make a great point about Skeletal Scrying and the switch is painfully obvious, so I am gonna go ahead and do that.I do like Indulgent Aristocrat in theory, not sure what to cycle out to make room for it... Maybe Sangromancer? All being said this is a young deck and changed a lot with Rivals, it need play to see adjustments.Again, much appreciated your take and I will keep you updated once I have more results on hand.Cheers,
This is my favourite tribe, so I was also pretty excited with all the new vampires. We can compare notes if you would like, here is my current take, not yet updated with Rivals : http://www.mtgvault.com/mazelord/decks/the-partnership/My deck is played mostly in multiplayer games, but yours seems to be designed for duals, is that right? If so I understand the choice of Artifacts, but otherwise I suggest you consider Herald's Horn and Vanquisher's Banner. Also I am wondering why you would not include the Planeswalkers that create Vampire tokens, is that a conscious choice? Not sure i would run Shadow Alley Denizen or Metallic Mimic. You have 2 copies of Twilight Prophet in there.Feel free to comment on my deck as well!
I couldn't resist the pun to make it sound like the epic Snakes on a Plane movie.
Thank you for commenting!Back in the days, before formats were a thing, my favourite constructed deck was squirrels. I alway avoided infinite combos because I play in a casual setting and want to keep my friends. :) I used to pt my Hermits in a Safe Haven and then sacrifice it to bring them back, that was actually good at the time! I always attributed a lot of value to themed deck, so here I am trying something different by giving a Golgari setting to the Deranged Hermits; I have not actually played this, it is still just a project.
Thank you for the comments! My duals are actually FBB, so the value is a bit less than what is marked up here, but I do have access to a very nice card pool, having started to play back in 1994. Most of my card are promos, I am a foil junkie lol.I will take time to review your clone and to ponder your suggestions soon and also revert once this deck as seen some action.
Thank you for the Holiday Cheers! Here is my own Season's Greetings for you all:http://www.mtgvault.com/mazelord/decks/gods-bless-all-everyone/
I see, that makes sense. I just like that card so much it is hard for me to accepts that you wouldn't want to hold on to them. :)
Well that explains why their offer was so generous... So why are you not playing the Guides in your Goblin Deck?
I have just dicovered Sigil of Sleep, which is even better than most of the Cipher cards I had included. Just had to get myself a playset, can't wait to playtest this version!
Yeah, if you put it this way it is fairly decent. Have you tried any of the online trading communities, like http://deckbox.org/ ?
Haaaaa, that blows. No Magic community in your area? Where are you from?
I hear you; I started playing in 1995 and missed out on all the good stuff because I was too young to invest in cards. At least I made good purchases around the year 2000 and again around 2010 so I'm set for most staples, but still I find it aggravating that whenever I am trying to get a friend to join the game the budget issue usually comes up pretty fast. Some guys I know have build Pauper decks and we started a small league, so there is that, but it is so limited. Also I have put a Cube together to allow my friend to draft and play powerful cards, and that is awesome as soon as we manage to get our schedules together. You shouldn't wait on thoses Guides, I am pretty sure they will be printed in MMA2 and that will bring the price down for at least a little while. Why not trade to someone for the full value instead of selling to a store?
As a veteran I noticed any card that is playable has gone up in value over the last 5 years in a way that make the game very hard to take up for new players, which is a shame. On the other hand my collection is now worth a small fortune... not that I ever intend to sell it! Amongst others I find the Goblin Guide is ridiculously expensive; I wish they would reprint it (not just in MMA2) to help put a few more in circulation. The Gravecrawler is really Worth the 5$, especially if you own Mutavaults. :)
Your deck is starting to look quite menacing! Please let me know how your games are going. If you are going to get just one card soon I suggest Grenzo, I had the opportunity to use him in a deck last week and he was very efficient.
I noticed Reflecting Pool is a bit expensive, you may want to replace Unknown Shores with Bojuka Bog; it damages a lot of decks and will be helpful before you use Living Death.
Also:Sign in Blood => Ancient Craving
Since you are aiming at duels, I would cut the most expensive cards and focus on having a strong start and mid-game. Candidates for cut would be:Explosive ImpactBituminous BlastArrow StormDead DropMorgue BurstSuggestions for replacements : Appetite for Brains=> Hymn to TourachCry of Contrition => Wrench MindSpontaneous Combustion => Volcanic FalloutSkull Rend => BlightningTyrannize => Browbeat (Your opponent may not alway have a hand, but you always want to draw 3 cards)Rise from the Grave => Living Death (I have seriously lost count of the number of games won due to this card)You are also very badly missing a board wipe that removes everything but lands in case you need to sway a bad game; for your budget that would be Nevinyrral's Disk. Also a creature wipe is neve a bad idea; you could include a Black Sun's Zenith or Decree of Pain (Provided you don't own a Damnation).A word on lands:Bloodfell Cave => Dragonskull SummitRakdos Guildgate => Tainted PeakShimmering Grotto => Terramorphic ExpanseUnknown Shores => Reflecting Pool (Or just remove it and use 36 lands, that should be enough)Commander is a different style of play, but I find it is very exciting to never know what is going to come out and how the game is going to be headed. Keep in mind the games will be longer than with constructed deck and hold on to a few surprises for the mid-game.Again I hope this is helpful and that you enjoy the deck!
Thank you Puschkin, great suggestions!
