Lol! I assume Jace's Phantasm is squidwierd.

Well, it's a whole lot easier to de-budgetize a deck, and the finished product ends up far more powerful.
And you still run a black deck ... I see how it is. =).
I think you cleared out dimir's entire cabinet of one drops. Force spike is a worthy mention, and maybe can replace dream twist. Evanescent Intellect is good - it's like power of fire for blue - and it fits nicely on anyone but cathartic adept.Where's the Jace's Phantasm? It can replace cathartic adapt.Don't underestimate the power of telepathy. With it, you can see your opponent's dirty tricks and easily avoid them.
It's K, hawknhad the original idea.
Or are you just in love with Kiora, the Crashing Wave? =).Hey, here's a thought: which guild do you think each original planeswalkers (Garruk - G, Anjani - W, Chandra - R, Jace Beleren - U, Liliana Vess - B) would favor, out of the 4 guilds that share a color with them? In fact, which guild do you think ANY mono-colored planeswalker would favor out of the 4 guilds that share a color with them? For example, would Jace prefer Simic, Azorius, Dimir, or Izzet? Since he was an artificer and heavily into arcane studies, I vote Izzet.*note* I'm just looking for conversation, this doesn't have to be asked in the deck description. =).
P.S. Thank you for inspiring me to make a g/w deck. Once you finish tuning this up, I might even buy it ... I always wanted a non-token deck that made selesnya shine. Good work!
Wow ... that's pretty neat, and it just gets better with other elfs!I think you could make this deck really lean and mean by adding some G/W creatures and spells. The combo is killer, but this deck has several other avenues open to it, which make defending against it a real pain.I think you might want some Enlightened Tutors. to search for congregation at dawn. Sacrificing some mana ramp for that is probably a really good idea.Adding some green enchantments to increase the mana your lands make directly is a good choice. Not only is a mix of creatures and enchantments harder to deal with, but the enchantments allow you to focus on elves for your Ezuri to buff! (I like Abundant Growth, Elvish Guidance, and Utopia Sprawl )Steward of Valeron is a solid choice for mana ramp and a solid defender in a pinch. He's not an elf though ...These other suggestions build on Ezuri's second ability, which is devastating even out of the combo if done right.Elvish Hexhunter is a good one-drop for removing enchantments, and a chump blocker if you need one.Steel Leaf Paladin and Armored Wolf-Rider are awesome G/W elf knights for you to ramp into, choose one or the other.Selesnya SagittarsIt would be wise to sideboard either Raven's Run Dragoon or Llanowar Knight against black decks. You are adding a lot of 2 color creatures, you should think about Wilt-Leaf Liege: in fact, this little elf gal becomes your secondary engine. Safehold Elite has persist, which makes him hard to kill and immune to most boardwipes. Plus he has solid synergy with Flourishing Defenses.Without a doubt, Tolsimir Wolfblood is insane - it's Wilt-Leaf Liege's ability on a slightly weaker Steel Leaf Paladin body, able to spawn an infinite chump blocker to boot. Yikes! Here's one of my searches to help you if you want to find any other elf cards:http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Search/Default.aspx?action=advanced&color=+^%28+[G]+[W]%29&subtype=+[%22Elf%22]
Anyone going to do Dimir? Alright them I will.
Cool deck. Too bad it's mono black so you can't use Dimir Cutpurse.
Well Northern, you knocked this out of the park. Mill is bad, but losing my hand ... that's diabolical!
Hmm ... if this weren't budget, I'd suggest lake of the dead.
I like the deck! Maybe a zombie infestation is called for ...
Nonsense, hedron crab's ability is easy to remember. Patron of the nezumi and those rats seem to fit awkwardly in here.
Oh man, I just realized that both of these decks together are under $20 ... NICE work!
Nice deck Northern. These duel decks seem really fun to pit against each other. Maybe my friends and I will play through a pack of cards. You know, pool together to buy a pack of cards, then play a game for each card, switching decks after each round. Then yu have a group trade, if anyone wants to. Good times.
Love the use of the ally subtype. That alone really holds this deck together. I may buy this one with a few tweaks of my own. Nice work!
Sure, go ahead, I want see it. Memory sluice, Tomb Scour, Bonesplitter, Gravecrawler, Jace's Phantasm, and Hedron Crab say hello. I would say goodbye, then ask for another deck to play..But I haven't seen it ... can you post a link, like this?http://www.mtgvault.com/knightofthehokeypokey/decks/budget-super-stasis/
Orzhov and not Dimir? Can you tell me where to find it?
Well, this deck is definitely worth playtesting. Good luck!
