Holy cow, lots o' work to do here. -2 Vedalken Dismisser. He's a good card but his mana cost is entirely too high for what he does. -2 Esper Sojourners. He's alright, but there's nothing really worth untapping and tapping one of your opponents things can be done with better cards. -2 Vedalken Orrery. Leyline of Anticipation does the exact same thing, has the same CMC, but has a chance to be on the field turn 0. -4 Terramorphic Expanse. It's not needed. -4 Evolving Wilds. It's not needed. -2 Arcane Sanctum. -2 Crumbling Necropolis. -2 Jungle Shrine. -2 Savage Lands. -2 Seaside Citadel. They all come into play tapped so it'd really slow your deck down.
I dunno, there's a few things I would change. Try reading the comments and check out my decklist for my stomp deck. Might pick up a few tips and tricks. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=128871
-2 Tajuru Archer. If you want anti-flying just throw in gravity well so you can block them with a big ally on the ground. -2 Joraga Bard. He's just not good. -3 Akoum Battlesinger. Another one that just isn't good. -4 Giant Growth. It's just not needed. +3 Gravity Well. +2 Turntimber Ranger. +2 Harabaz Druid. +2 Genesis Wave.
Rude Awakening would fit this deck too, might want to look it up.
100/100 Omnath + Protean Hydras = holy crap. Since it's outta standard throw in Fists of Ironwood. It's a 2 drop enchant that makes two 1/1 saproling chump blockers and gives enchanted creature trample.
Figured as much about the challenge part. It just makes it about 10 times more difficult to stay alive with no creatures to even chump block with.
An alternative One-sided explosion would be basing a deck on the Zendikon land-enchants that make your lands into man-lands then throw in Terra Eternal and DoJ.
Um....I've gotta say discard decks need creatures. Have fun taking plenty of damage... +4 Liliana's Specter +4 Guul Draz Specter +4 Bloodhusk Ritualist -4 Geth's Grimoire so you can say it's a standard deck -4 scepter of fugue again so you can say it's standard and tourney-worthy. -4 Megrim ^
Replace the Rampant Growths with either Llanowar Elves, Cultivates, or Harrows. With a Llanowar, you still have one additional mana you can use next turn, it cost one less, and it's a creature that can chump block.
Jace = Temple bell + 20 mill and he's only 3 to play....Sure he takes a while to build up to his ultimate but he's better than Jace's Erasure. Hate Erasure, at most it's going to mill like 10 the whole game...
Arbor Elf only untaps target forest, not target land. Oran-Rief, The Vastwood cannot be untapped by Arbor Elf.
In all honesty I'd say lose the red and throw in white. Admonition angel, Emeria Angel, and Ruin Ghost are the best landfall cards ever (arguably of course), red just isn't worth it.
Sword of the Meek for the infinite Ornothopter combo?
I'd say go completely standard and throw out the Worldly tutor even though it's pretty good. If you do decide to take them out, replace them with more ramp, preferably some early-game chump blockers such as Arbor Elves.
Necro is right, they do hit they grave but as soon as they do they cease to exist.
I'm sure you already know this but I'm just wanting to mention that you cannot regenerate wall of Bone if it was sacrificed with Lich's Tomb.
- Elspeth, She's not in standard anymore, there's no reason to only have 5 out of standard cards and they're not even worth keeping IMO. - Reclaim, again, out of standard. I'd rather have a deck that's in standard and FNM ready than throwing in random out-of-standard crap cards. -4 Caravan Escort. There's better levelers out there that can fill the role of beat-sticks and still have good final abilities. -3 Explore, Kazandu Tuskcaller, Realms Uncharted. They may be decent cards but you're better off filling the spots with other levelers and draw power. -3 Echo Mage, You're just not running enough spells for him to be effective. -3 Ikiral Outrider. Probably the worst leveler ever. +2 Hedron-Field Purists. One of the best levelers that's decently priced and has an amazing effect, especially when you stack it with other Purists.
He's a 4 drop, it's not bad at all and actually allows for a potential in after that turn 5 deal. Hell, look at Skithiryx, he's a 5 drop which is entirely too high IMO.
You pose a very good point. I'll have to try and see how my deck goes and possibly switch out a few cards.
