Will be taking this to FNM tomorrow, apologies for the sideboard, it's all I have! :P

Bit harsh, be nicer please! Not everybody has a money tree at the bottom of the garden. Also, screw Thragtusk! :P
Hello, how did you break the comment count?! :D I'll take a look at the weekend. :)
@mcflyguy this feature works for everybody in v3... hopefully coming sometime in November.
Don't worry, this isn't a regular occurrence! :)
Hey guys, we were having problems with the server, have restarted services, should be ok now, sorry!
Mirror-friend from my childhood? I knew we'd meet again one day! :O
We're not going anywhere, as long as we keep getting the new cards added when they're released I think people will be happy to hang around with us. Thinking about it, we've been around for about 7 years now, hopefully there's many more to come! :)
Yes, thank-you to our forum moderators for keeping the forums tidy! :)
You will ALWAYS be able to build and get feedback on your decks for free here, this type of site would never work as a pay-to-use service anyway and to be honest, I'd rather have a thriving community of helpful individuals than a bit of extra cash. If you want to support us the best thing you can do is buy cards using the links on the card/deck pages or from our sponsor Ideal808! :)
Guys, I'm humbled, thank-you! As long as this site remains useful to you, it's users, it will stick around! If you want to support us, buy your cards through the links on card/deck pages or from our sponsor Ideal808! If you want updates on v3 (the new version of the site we're working on then follow us on Facebook as we're posting semi-regular updates on there, hopefully we're not too far away now! :) Thanks again for your support! :)
Congrats on 150 decks! :)
This is correct, another user adding a comment adds three likes to a deck. I can also tell you that liking a comment in a deck also adds a like to the deck. I guess we basically chose the wrong terminology of "deck likes" because it is in fact more of a "deck activity/popularity" counter. This all came from the launch of the socially aggregated homepage list and not knowing how many likes decks would even get. We didn't want "5 likes" to end up being the number that got a deck to the homepage so we decided to pull in other popularity metrics to "score" a deck. In v3 a like will be a like and a comment will be a comment. Both of these numbers will be shown separately against decks along with multiple deck tags so people can judge (and filter) the popularity of a deck themselves. The idea is to spread the load to help people find the decks they want to be looking at instead of forcing people to look at the very narrow funnel the homepage has become.
Well played sir, well played. I've addressed these issues before but obviously not everybody has seen my posts. First, we know the system is flawed. The number of likes against a deck is a combination of likes, comments and comment likes (sorry) abd yes, we're trying to fix it. We're currently re-writing the site from scratch, the original purpose of this site was to store your decks for future reference. I expanded this to linking them out to friends, the comment system was then added and finally, the likes, along with the homepage switch to show "top decks". My goal for all of this was to try and help people get feedback and help with their decks. The site is too busy for it's own good and we get a huge amount of new decks posted every day from people all trying to get the same thing, unfortunately there are more people trying to get help than people willing to give it. In v3, aside from streamlining the deck building process, which, afterall, is what this site is all about, we're trying to remove the struggle to get to the homepage and make our focus rewarding people for helping others. We'll be introducing a rep system, canning the homepage in it's current form and making it a lot easier for people to find the decks they actually want to see and help with. We will also be splitting likes out from the fake likes so when you see "x likes" it will actually mean "x likes". We want the same thing everybody wants, a nice, friendly community that is willing to help others because they KNOW that they will be helped in return and I will keep working at it until we get there. We're working on it, just give us time!
We've talking about this for months now and I think we have a solution in v3 to stop this happening and basically pass control of the homepage over to the people that actually give back to this community. I don't want to reveal too much as we're still ironing out the kinks but basically we want the people that put something towards the site to help us make it the best it can be, the aim with v3 is to provide you with the tools to do this...
Avatars are done and working in v3, I know this because I did it at the weekend! We'll be using gravatar to power our avatars based on your email address (which you will be able to update if needed). :)
Guys, guys, calm down! ;) I've had the week off to work on v3 this week, there's still a long way to go but it's getting there. Once it goes live we won't have to worry about such issues anymore!
It's probably best if both of you take W&B's advice and ignore each other, I'm sure you both must have better things to do than argue on here? Just to clear things up, nobody can remove decks from the homepage except myself and Ian. There's no button to do it, there are hardly any admin tools at all, the only way to do it is manually in the database, which is why it rarely gets done. I personally hate doing it because I'd much rather be doing other things. Anyway, stop talking to each other! ;)
Argh, you broke my homepage! :P
Hrhr, we rock! ;)
