Abyssal persecutor is my favorite card in a u/b control deck, people just don't see something that aggressive hitting the field in a control deck.
I see you got the four jaces and 3 consuming vapors to get rid of him, which is nice, but I personally love into the roil. Just throwin that idea out there if you can find room for it.
other than that, it looks pretty solid.

I don't have the cash for 4 mindsculptors, but you can take a look at my deck if you want;

ps, nice lighthouse chronologist! I didn't even think about him. If you're controlling the field, and got enough mana to pump, he's perfect.
kudos.

are you joking? preordain is a definite 4-of. you get to see 2 cards, and if you need one, its yours. if you need neither, bottom of the deck.

any deck running blue should abuse preordain, its amazing.

11 counters... hmm.. iunno, i dont run 11 but counter is amazing. and i do agree that 4 tec edge is a bit much for me.

lol, i don't know the price of some of these cards where you live, but a lot of the cards on here (where I live) are pretty pricy.

i.e. celestial colonnade, venser, elspeth, sun titan. stuff like that

I think chandra ablaze, regardless of mana, would benifit this deck.

lets say you're going up against a life gain deck. chances are, you're going to be waiting 6 turns anyways, so, might as well whip out gool ole' chandra. and with pyretec you could get her out faster, turn 4. then, by turn 6, rock shizzle. i love chandra, lol.

just thought i'd share that

id take out 2 doomblade and add 2 flame slash. if you're going up against a beast black deck, doom blade sucks. (trust me, ive been there).

if you like your doom blades, side board a couple flame slashs.

i ran gatekeeper in a u/b deck, and i found he was wayyy too slow. iunno how he works in red, but the 3 swamp sucks, in my opinion. i don't know, im simply stating my views on his flaws in my old deck. lol.

viscera seer seems pointless. unless you plan on mark of mutiny-ing an opponents creature, swinging, sacrificing him, then scrying 1, i'd suggest taking him out.
even if you do you use that combo, i'd rather only 2 visceras, and 2 guul drazs. guul draz are fast, and become beastly when you get your opp. down to 10 life (which in aggro is easy).

anyways, hope I helped, lol.

sidenote; consuming vapours always helps me scratch abyssal persecutor. maybe thats why you want viscera, but either way, i'd rather have 2 consuming vapours and 2 gull draz.

Hey, I was looking up u/r/b decks, and this one came across to be fairly popular (amongst the few u/b/r decks I could find, at least)

so I was wondering if you could check out and comment on my new tri colored deck?

I'm realtively new to magic, and newer to tri colors. So, if you have time, it woukd help a lot.

Thanks, man. And btw; nice deck :3

so, youll deff. wants 4 birds of paradise, and 4 lotus cobras. <- those are amazing. 20$ each but well worth it.

llonowar elves are also great. seeing how you want a lot of mana, with 4 birds, 4 lotus cobras, and 2 llanowar, you'll be set.

next, for lotus cobra, get 4 misty rainforest. if you lay those, pop 'em, then set a land. the cobra will add 2 land of any color instead of 1. nifty lil combo.

theres this card, quest for sumn, and it gives you eldrazi spawns. its green, search it up. add 2.

you want ulamog, the infinite gyre ( 2) 2 emrakul, the aeons torn (2) 3 nest invaders, and 4 hands of emrakul.

then just load it up with w/e spells you wish. asceitisism may do you good, but mess around
