Though it's fantastic, my group does our best to shy away from the infinite combos- hence the missing half of that puzzle. Thanks for your idea!

Phyrexian Dreadnought is, for sure, a missing piece of the deck, as is entomb. Defense of the heart is great as well. I'm not a huge fan of hunted horror or troll, the idea of giving my opponents stuff to play with doesn't sit well with me! Plus, this deck is more ETB/LTB shenanigans. Thanks for the ideas, though. When I come across phydre and entomb, better believe they'll show up here.

This deck is great, and is a beautiful modern adaptation. I run a Varolz that is so much fun in EDH- if you're a fan of the format, check it out! http://www.mtgvault.com/eljefe/decks/varolz-edh/

I don't use his scavenge too much, though there are some options for large scavenging in the deck. I more enjoy the colors, the graveyard manipulation, and the shenanigans.

As for this deck, I'd put in a few more fauna shamans and lower the fatties. You may also add in a couple other valuable low-cost creatures that can push damage through, like charging badger or prickly boggart.

I'm a little late (been out of the country myself), but welcome back!

I'm loving the artifact creatures- maybe double up on enchantments as well, throw in a few bestow enchantment creatures? Nighthowler would be a bomb, and all the others would beef up your little tokens. Sac the tokens, and you still have more creatures to go!

Thinking about making this deck for the next modern tourney, thoughts would be awesome!

Great work pulling together this duel deck! I do believe this one may need a little help to be an even contender against the minotaurs, though.

This one would do really well with a couple overwhelming stampedes or overruns. Those quick board-wide pumps are so stinking hard to manage!

Centaur glade is great thematically, too. You can pop out 3/3 centaurs like it's no big deal late game.

Still, solid duel decks.

This deck looks pretty wicked. Were i to pick between both, I'd always reach for this one! Punish the weak!

My suggestions may push me a little over the price edge, but they are fun thoughts:

indomitable archangel is a pretty wicked card that could help this deck out. Palladium Myr is a fantastic tap for mana creature. Myr galvanizer beefs up those little weenie myrs sitting out there, and also doubles down on their usefulness. Finally, Dispatch is a fantastic answer to creatures in an artifact deck.

annnddd.... DUEL!

Sac ability is fantastic, but best when they keep. coming. back.

Phyrexian Reclamation to get them back? Fleshbag Marauder? Your deck is currently so cheap, drop in a mimic vat or two. Fleshbag + Mimic Vat = epic. Really, any of these creatures and mimic vat would work well. Mimic can also pump out any great creatures your opponents lose.

Also, I've found that cadaver imp works a little more efficiently than gravedigger. Weaker creature, but costs 1 less to pull from the depths.

Finally, gray merchant makes for a beautiful life swing, especially if you have dark prophecy and a little more black devotion sitting out there. He can really sting with mimic vat, as well.

Hey Northern- I was just thinking... with all the cool new centaur/minotaur tribal creatures out in the new block, wanna do a duel deck of centaur tribal vs. minotaur tribal?

I really love magma jet, especially with prophetic flamespeaker. I can spot remove a creature and then set up my draw for when flamer double-slams them. I understand your thoughts though on adding in the stronger burn, but if just helps immensely for me to set up my next couple plays.

Ah yes! Life gain turned weapon! Love the deck. Bit of nostalgia running through this, reminding me of my war horseman deck!

Incredibly impressive. Only one question: why Dragonskull Summit and not Blood Crypt?

Fantastically fun deck. Life gain is sooo valuable in EDH, especially as people start wiping boards, launching huge assaults, etc. For those of you ever bumping up the cost of this deck, I'd highly recommend exsanguinate, exquisite blood, massacre wurm, soldier of the pantheon, bloodchief ascension, and the now-staple in any b/w deck, athreos. Also, whip of erebos + obzedat. If you don't know that combo, check it out.

If staying budget, a couple invaluable cards I LOVE are rewards of diversity (ridiculous in EDH), SHATTERED ANGEL (more like shattered opponents), and righteous aura (force field with only 2 life lost).

Oh, one more thought for consideration. Not sure if it'd fit in, but there's a whole lot of red devotion screaming for a fanatic of mogis. His end game slam is a beautiful disaster when you have 5+ devotion sitting out there, then swing him with battledriver's ability!

Ohh, yes! Very nice. With all those instant/sorceries and the battledriver crying out for attention, the only tweak I'd make is to include a couple young pyromancers. Otherwise I like the changes here, great work.

Yeah, they are incredibly difficult to deal with- speed is what kills so many standard decks, which usually sit around until at least turn 3-4 to really get going. You won't be disappointed!
