put this together to try out Bw in doomsdayhttp://www.mtgvault.com/alleywayjack/decks/legacy-doomsday/im not 100 percent sold on emmy/ shelldock. like you said, wasteland is everywhere, and is almost definitely played in any deck running counter balance.. but the emmy/shelldock plan only takes up 2 slots in the board(pass the turn pile) and is good against enchantress(beats leyline of sanctity), and a few other decks.im also not sure if i want to be playing dread of night.. its just so good at shutting down thalia, and mom. i havent played this at an actual event, but our local meta has a bunch of maverick, and a death and taxes build floating around.

"I play Torpor Orb because I'm a dick, nothing more, nothing less."this had me seriously crackin' up. good stuff. >:D
but RC says discard not sacrafice, so how does crucible help that at all? i suppose you could play the land you discard, but to me, seeing my opponents hand and removing the card that's going to allow them to beat me, seems better than gambling on slow rolling a 1 card advantage..i guess a few turns of drawing lands and binning em to RC will add up though. and in a deck like this, that effect must be frustrating --if either of you guys got time, i would appreciate some advice on this legacy deck i was working on..http://www.mtgvault.com/alleywayjack/decks/legacy-junk-depths/m14 rules change means thespian stage and dark depths is a thing
looks pretty cool. im not sure how i feel about helm being to only win con though. but at the same time, it does fit the deck extremely well..im not sold on ivory tower of ghostly prison either. i would maybe try to push the energy field/ rest in piece combo more. but either way this deck seems incredibly weak to counterspells, discard, and artifact/enchantment hate? ..or does it just power through with overwhelming card advantage?this isnt an archetype i have ever played with myself, but it certainly looks like alot of fun. i love the card advantage of land tax+ scroll rack, and i totally dig the toolbox aspect as well.
looks incredibly fun. why play raven's crime over the 4th thoughtseize? without life from the loam ravens crime doesn't seem that awesome. wouldnt you rather have targeted discard that can remove your opponents best card?the one of torper orb seems strange in the board, i can think of a couple creatures it shuts down but none that warrant sideboard space. are you just bringing it in against x-blade decks?? ( SFM, Snappy, Clique)
pretty odd looking ddft build. i would max out on top and probe as they are essential to drawing into your pile. also Fow and counterspells, never really made sense to me in ddft. in menendian doomsday it makes sense, but there is so much anti-synergy with LED here, not to mention the rather anemic blue sources.. i just cant support it.also no chain of vapor? chain is essential to reaching to lethal storm in many piles, and is extremely versatile in other cases as well.as a matter of personal preference i play ideas unboud over meditate as it makes the mana requirements a little easier.i actually havent played ddft with burning wish, which i know, seems insane.. i think im going to tweak my current brew slightly and try out some BW. it seems absurdly powerful..whats your answer to counterbalance? i dont see the emmy/shelldock sideboard plan, and im not seeing abrupt decay or anything else either.
fact of the matter is. this deck doesn't work. it will never win, because you need angels grace, or phyrexian unlife.im all about having fun playing magic. but its not going to be much fun losing every single game because your playing a broken deck( and not broken in a good way)
except. you cant. you can draw cards past zero with ad nauseam, but as soon as you stop you die. you would need to play angels grace or phyrexian unlife in order to complete your combo. i know this deck. and you have done it wrong
oh and heres some info on the deck you failed at buildinghttp://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?p=7606274#post7606274
pleaseenlighten mewalk me through your "turn 3" win
this deck doesn't actually do anything
this website is a joke.
this deck is an obvious troll. why is it getting so much attention...
people on this site.. so sad..
you can make infinite mana+ infinite untap effects with freed from the real/ pemmin's aura + aphetto alchemist/ fatestitcher/ tidewater minion + khalni gem.. doesn't really help you at all..but cool anyway.. x_x'
clearly
"Tournament Quality"this is a complete joke.you must have been blazed when you made this because it doesn't create any sort of storm count.tibalt into nicol bolas, and norin into emrakul are good plays, but i cant see any way to get 36 storm to grapeshot with..i think you might be confused by the storm mechanic. copies created by any card with storm aren't actually cast, they are just copies added to the stack.the curse/ possibility storm lock is pretty cool.. however.. this deck is absolutely, in no way, shape, or form tournament qaulity
i honestly feel like you could probably get away with 18 lands and just throw 2 reejeray in that way. ive seen plenty of 18 land merfolk lists, and most of those don't run trickster. having an entire extra set of 1cmc 'folk should theoretically mean you'll almost always be fine with just 18 lands. i dont think you should take out a lord for him though. most of the merfolk decks i see are running 14-16 lords, and right now your only running 12.also as far as spreading seas. have you thought about playing aquitect's will instead? i understand the benefit of killing duels and potentially shutting the opponent off a certain color, but will is cheaper. im not sure how relevant that is though.
These numbers look pretty much perfect. I wish there was a way to squeeze a few merrow reejeray into the main deck though. that guy is a house.
Looks pretty awesome. Flamekin Harbinger might be cool
