haha thats ONE of the wincons. if they have nothing worth stealing, i'll just turn my crappy merfolks into 4/4 sphinxes, if not i'll just use daring theif to steal their blood barons and stuff. how could you have not see that? :D springleaf drum and triton tactics to tap/untap that inspiring creature :D

haha i am compeittive! my dirty cheap blue deck will eat these decks alive! since nobody plays protection against blue, it'll wreck their plans and stuff. Stormbreath? no problem! blood baron? Thanks! desecration demon? woop woop! supreme verdict?! well you just blew your board buddy. haha.

nah, what bothers me is just local culture, singaporeans tend to have their own dialect of english, i mean i can speak it but with chinese backgrounds, i'm a sitting duck. but oh well, doesn't mean that'll put me off.

haha thanks bro, but EVERYWHERES MY LGS! awwww yiss.

still no acceptance buddy. i got a fre pack from my friend ordering singles for me, pulled a teysa, envoy of ghosts and spike jester. not the best of packs, but quite happy with it. i went to go see my LGS in singapore yesterday, and dude, i don't fit in. magic is one thing i can adapt to, but being away from singapor for too long and the social culture is just too much for me to handle. nothing like feeling like a white boy in the asian community. ah well. the meta in that shop was reallyheavy expensive deck players, all the shock lands, foil jaces and crap. damn man, they all got lotta money to spare.

if you like kill la kill, you'll love gurren lagann, same director as KLK so you'll see the references and same style.

wellllll, that deck isn't budget, itss the IDEAL deck if i had all the money in the world, but as of at the moment, i'll probably just leave the deck as it is, i'll make it budget when i actually buy the deck for reals.

HEY LOOKIE! ANOTHER STANDARD ENCHANTMENT DECK I'V BREWED! (yoshi snickers)

http://www.mtgvault.com/yezhma/decks/standard-gurren-lagann/
(gurren laagen is an anime series i've watched recently, love the show, check it out!)

its so sad and quite a pain that 90% of the deck cost to get those cards are all lands... (yoshi cries on the inside of himself and his wallet).

ahhhhhhhhh okay okay. understood. your deck is not exactly within my grasps of likings to be honest, not sure how to improve it without adding the yoshi-preference to it. but glad you like the deck yourself, that's pretty much all that matters. has this deck performed in real situation yet?

we should really get ourselves some skype battle time with our cards (your real ones with my cheap ass proxies cause i'm broke and far away from normal civilization) haha. my best buddy is into magic now after hard convincing to try it since he's a hearthstone player just like me. but i've been learning magic online for a while and took me a while to understand so yeah, will take a while for him to understand too.

I'd like to challenge your deck, see how powerful and how it fairs against your arch-nemesis archetype! LES ENCHANTEMENTS! (evil laughs).

sorry for the lack of response these few days, i was having a holiday trip planned by us graduates after finishing our IB course. pretty damn fun times, at a cheapass but beautiful and worth place too. Vietnam is such a nice place to live in.

AIGHT, FULL OF MIDNIGHT OIL AND METAL MUSIC PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND. GET READY FOR SOME CRITICISM ENERSON!

Ehhh, first of all, out of all the lands, i suppose cheap ones of guildgates would at least make it kinda safer for land fixing purposes? idk, outside of drafting, i don't exactly feel safe playing all basic lands of a two colored deck. just preference issues right there.

your deck seems to be creature base reliance. no idea about your local FNM but i suppsoe control decks could be difficult to play against, due to your dependance of your cards being anti-creature tempo deck. but i suppose agaisnt heavy creature base, your deck can be a force to be reckoned with, especially all the bounce, tap and counterspells.

my confusions are
no.1: the 2/2 unblockable, he seems a bit lackluster. being a 2/2 isn't exactly a worrisome clock for your opponent, 2 damage a turn can be easily taken our by magma spay and lightning bolt and all that, seems to be meh in the deck of what you're trying to achieve. kalonian tuskar would've been still a great 2 drop but please do enlighten me on the choice.

no.2: i understand the coatl, being an ovetime growing threat, but i think you can get cards to make him bigger, any card that can have an inbuilt draw effect and still make it a growing threat. i've found some like shielding plax, canopy cover, favor of the overbeing (useful for most of your dual colored creatures if you can find better ones) and even scarescale ritual for that benefit of a draw and card advantage also the negation of drawback from the growing +1/+1 counters. personally, (as you can tell), i'm an enchantment person, love auras and battlefield stickers. so yeah, still preference and idea of making your threat actually stick to the field, as again, counterspell can only protect your board so much, just finding an extra insurance can go a long way.

no.3, I REALLY DON'T SEE KIORA'S FOLLOWER BEING IN THIS DECK. ENLIGHTEN ME, PLEASE, THY BEGS.

other than that, your deck seems to be doing the job of bounce and turn back creature clocks of your opponent. in the modern format, i suppose that's a useful ability and annoying opponent to go against. still not exactly onboard with this deck, but do correct me, your main goal is just tap, bounce back clock setting type tempo deck right?

Yo, i'll check out this deck and email you tomorrow. just came home today from grad trip, sorry for the more than a week of hiatus. will explain in the email. but at first glance, seems to be doing its job and fun deck, however, removal itself seems to be a shut down if lorescale coatl isn't protected, and counterspells can only do so much, as this is as far as i can judge from being tired, i'll take a better look at it tomorrow.

ooooh. that's new. never noticed that card. sweet, thanks for that :D

aha. hit me up if you ever got any updates or new decks you're creating, i'd love to help :) and may your deck not be too screwed over by heroics. it is called heroics for a reason after all, not many people can win against heroes. :P

ohh, what does your friend use? maybe that'll give my deck some more diversity. aha. but of course, my only problem remains is hitting that land and creature drop. its sometimes a pain in the ass to lose badly when you just don't have the right cards at the right time.

i also got other decks i'm testing on, trying to deter away from the boring non-interactive meta of pure controls and crap. glad to see you're doing that too :P

Second though, i take back what i said about lost in the labyrinth. i didn't carefully read flamespeaker's ability, i thought she only gains +2/+0, i didn't see the first strike. aha my bad! never mind, to be honest i think lost in labyrinth is the best you got if you have flamespeaker out already, multiple flamespeakers would be fantastic too for a (B) debuff and a buff to them :D

however i sitl lstand on the idea that a bit of sacrifice on a scry could possibly do some good against a heroic matchup. ehh.. still debatable, see how it goes.

magma jet vs magma spray - depending on which part of the game, i suppose you could have a balance of them, magma spray early to remove them and magma jet later when the threat feels bigger.

(sorry again, long ass messages for each)
