Yes, Sedge Sliver! I've been updating a Modern Sliver/Changeling deck, so they're mostly pretty fresh in my mind. :) I'm going to have to try Descendants' Path in it now...I WISH I had thought of that! Obelisk of Urd can be a thing, too, but w/ so many lord options, I don't really know if it's worth it.

P.S. Enjoy the inclusion of flavor text in your deck descriptions.

Sinew Sliver acts as a lord as well, & it's Modern legal. :) GreatMunchkin, thanks for the deck, +1!

Modern Boros is great, isn't it? It's fairly straightforward, & what starts as a budget deck can gradually be upgraded. One thing I'd add to the above suggestions: I've never yet had a good experience w/ cards like Boros Garrison, especially in decks that are mostly low CMC; so often, there's just no good time to play them. Given the choice between the two, I'd probably put more Guildgates in, as there's at least no return to hand. But that's just me. :) Thanks for sharing your deck, hope you have good times w/ it!

Flash/Hulk is a classic turn 0 combo, if you're not on the play. I'm guessing you meant to say remove SSG from the game & tap GSC for 1R & 1U mana. The hard thing about this is that you need 4 cards for the combo, & w/ Flash being restricted, it's a little like hoping to find the needle in the haystack...still, removing the extra Flashes & Lotus Petals, maybe some Pacts, would make room for more options. I have to admit, I always hankered to try this, but just never had the belly for it. :) Fun deck; hope you pull it off!

Phyrexian Eldrazi slivers...yeah, that's pretty much a scoop...I wondered what a deck from 2014 was doing at the top of the active page...I'm guessing hot page next. This thing is a casual player's DREAM deck...& now I must go cry. def+1.

DaveYoyo76, Grim Lavamancer's ability exiles cards from your GY, not your hand....sOrinmarkOv, not dissing your choices...brought up G.L. in response to Soul's Attendant being suggested. Really just putting it out there that a creature that "burns" would be more consistent w/ your deck.

But detracting from the overall theme probably wouldn't be productive...what do you think about Grim Lavamancer?

Synergy w/ Doomed Traveler, too; & Trostani, especially if enchanting something like Wayfaring Temple. But that's more likely an idea for someone else's deck, as this one seems fine w/o it.

I'm guessing that's a concession being made to uphold the "budget" aspect of the deck, since best lands = more $$$.

Well, what could possibly be more fun than beating your opponent down w/ adorable creatures...? (Image that just popped unbidden into my mind: When Fluffy Bunnies Attack.) Greetings to your waifu.

Yeah, I had the same thought about counterspells, but thought maybe it was just me...this is really interesting, I hope that you continue to keep us posted.

So.much.synergy. This is maybe my favorite "budget Modern" deck yet. And this really would price-out at the lower end of the "estimated value" spectrum...really, this is ridiculously good value even for casual play, much less getting into competitive. +1.

I just came across these decks, & imo this is (was) a great idea! Reading some of the comments you got made my head hurt, though. I think you're right about the majority of the user base on this site being way deep into budget, but I still don't get how anyone can fail to appreciate a good concept/deck...seems narrow-minded. Anyway, "gateway" decks for competitive play in Modern is a really cool idea; listing upgrades in the SB make it even moreso. +1.
