Go to Gatherer, select advanced search, enter "creature gets -" for rules text & "black" for color, & you will find a ton. None are as good as Dismember, though.

DUNE!!! Love that. :) The old-school version was GU, but there's lots of room for variation. See Beyond is useful in Polymorph decks, as it lets you put your fatties back in your library, should you draw them. Also, Khalni Garden gives you a free token to target. It does have the drawback of being a tapland, though.
Unfortunately, Stoneforge Mystic is banned in Modern. :(
It's ANY sliver-lover's dream deck. :)
It's a little more costly, but if you're going all-in anyway, wouldn't 4x Glimmervoid be preferable to Mox Opal & Sphere of the Sun? Nice deck...had my +1 awhile ago. :)
Waifu as a reference to a fictional character is fan-derived slang. The actual definition of waifu is wife.
Snake Cult Initiation only applies to combat damage, so Ferromancer's ability will still only give 1 poison counter. I have to admit, I like the R infect creatures, too, so this deck is definitely :D all day w/ me. Nice! +1.
Exquisite Firecraft seems like a good fit, especially if you're having trouble getting through w/ that last bit of damage...& a playset of Battlefield Forge? This is a really nicely themed deck, especially at such a low cost. +1.
Add B mana & run Read the Bones in place of Epiphany? The scry aspect would (hopefully) give you better draws.
Where's #49? +1.
In BFZ, the lands that come into play tapped unless you control 2 basic lands.
Sorry, I meant to say Blighted Fen, not Mortuary Mire (another option to force opponent to sac a creature).
The lifegain was the Ram, which is why I asked...I would replace Sandblast w/ Stasis Field & Ultimate Price w/ Ruinous Path. As for Eldrazi/Devoid, other than the afore-mentioned spells, there's not a lot that has synergy w/ what you're doing...Mortuary Mire is a land you might consider, along w/ the tango lands. To play Eldrazi/Devoid, though, I think you'd be looking at a whole different deck.
Is your priority in replacing Nyx-Fleece Ram having a strong early blocker, or lifegain? If it's the former, Fortified Rampart is 0/6 for 2cc. The only 2cc lifegain options I'm aware of in your colors are Stone Haven Medic & Zulaport Cutthroat. Since lifegain is kind of a thing w/ Allies, I'm sure there's other cards available, but I stuck w/ 2cc, since that's what Ram is.
I've been looking at the same thing in a UB deck. If you do go that route, consider adding Scatter to the Winds (counter spell w/ Awaken).
I've been on the look-out for decks incorporating BFZ, & yours is the most interesting I've seen so far, so thanks! If you want more people to see it, though, I'd suggest tagging it...you know how quick new decks get buried. Even just BFZ, Standard would help. +1!
Kinda figured; glad to hear it. :)
This isn't going to sound like much by way of advice, but there's no substitute for just playing, & no better way to learn...you'll start to see very quickly what works, what doesn't, what you want to do different, etc.etc.etc. Equally important, you'll figure out what your personal style of play is. You may also want to visit Gatherer for information on cards. The forum on that site hasn't been active since post-Theros block, but you can learn a LOT about any card printed prior to that. Lastly, WELCOME TO MAGIC! - & here's hoping you enjoy it as much as so many of us do! :)
Really like this deck!! My one question is, why 4 Bloodstained Mire & 2 Wooded Foothills, when the latter can fetch all 6 of the deck's lands, & the former only 4? By the way, I'm glad to see you continuing to be active on this site...you're one of the contributors here who always brings something to the table. +1.
