I see the combo there. It costs 5 for Gideon. Depending on the number of creatures, gideon could die. it costs 4 for sleep and they stay tapped for 2 turns.
you could almost make this standard. Switch out the elfhame Plalace and the arctic flats for Sunpetal Grove and Graypelt refuge. Even Razorverge Thicket would work. With the Sunblast Angel, why not have sleep? If that is not the point to having Sunblast angel in the deck, then what is?
Drop the lacerators for hexmages or nighthawks. the lacerators are good if you can get thier life down fast but if you cant then your just hurting yourself for the cheap fast vamp. look at my vamp deck, its fast and efficient. big difference is its mono black.
I also looked at the myr's you have. You have 7 islands plusthe blue/white dual lands. I would try changing the silver myrs with gold myrs or mix them. also the sire doesnt really fit. I would put in the galvanizers. aslo i noticed until your deck kicks off, you will be open game for attackers and direct damage. I would switch out the shape anew's wil maybe some sort of counter spells and try to squeeze in some arrests. you have plenty of proliferate but until you get established, you will be taking hits. If its infect, you only need to be hit for 10. seen that on turn 3 and 4 before.
Maybe add some fetch lands or some plains. Your also running blue so thrummingbirds would be a good proliferate tool.

Thank you. I have had the aura deck and the infect deck for awhile now but never thought to use auras with infect.
I looked at your deck. Althought good, i believe that he is trying to keep his standard. I sometimes find it to be a bit more of a challenge to create standard deck types that work.
Land destruction is always fun. Especially when you see the frustration in the other players face when they cant cast anything. Maybe add some tectonic edges into the mix.
I am worried about early game defence just because of how many infect decks there are. I am not trying to make this deck strickly to defeat infect but that is majority of the decks i have seen. As for the flying, just because of flying infect. Ornithopers are a good choice for that. Early (and free) blockers with flying. I did put the tanglecords in side board but added the overgrown battlements to the main board to try it out. Oran-Reif i will have to try out before i like it. I also have never played with the Khalni Heart Expedition to know how fast that would go.
I was finding that on turns 1-2-3, I was not getting anything out for defense. I was getting birds and elves but i dont want them to die that early in the game.i added the wall of vines for that reason. I also added some flying killers in the sideboard. Let me know if there should have been something else there.

I have not. I have regular group fun games with wurms and such but wanted to create a valid 1v1 wurm deck. I made a few changes since sora119 and you pointed out some shortfalls in the deck. I am looking for a good standard wurm deck that can play solo or group games well. I will create this tonight and hopefully play test it soon.
I like that idea.
any creatures you have in mind that would fit this scheme?

Also looking at my mana, what could I drop for the smoldering spires/teetering peaks?
I have seen the pyroclasm before and will need to try it out. I am always weary of doing something that will hit my own. Hence the reason I am not a fan of the Vatmother.
