Deciding to keep the lands for the moment... they make armoured ascention all the more viable - and that card is normally the one that puts me from a good position into a win position

very cool deck
Strange colour for counters... but looks pretty interesting.. I like the idea of using the proliferate to boost your own soldiers. You probably have too much land considering you have Braid of Fire.. i'd drop the land to 20 at most. Plus you need a way to get +1 counters on your creatures so you have more proliferate options... maybe something like arcbound worker could be good? (and cheap - you have a lot of high mana creatures here!) with this deck it's going to take a while to get flowing anyway, so you prob won't be using the clasps proliferate for a while... might make sense to replace at least half of them with contagion engines - that way when you're ready to start boosting you can do it twice as fast! have a gander at my decks if you have time.
replace tainted strike with vampire bite... considering pretty much everything you have has infect anyway.
Just made my own variation of this deck idea.. not quite as aggressive as yours though http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=179011
i'd swap out the stampede for something like giant growth.. your deck should have really almost won before reaching 5 mana anyway, and the Blighted Agent benefits from getting as many power boosting spells on him as possible (giant growth would mean you've already put 4 poison counters on him in one turn!)... plus, most your creatures have similar or low power anyway, so the stampede ain't doing much. other than that looks pretty good
very cool deck, should work well, 2 comments though: 1) with so few creatures, is Hand of the Praetors any real use? I can think of a few better/cheaper infect creatures considering his abilities won't trigger as often - like Core Prowler or Phyrexian Crusader 2) How useful is Jace? I know everyone loves him, but does he offer enough to warrant him being in the deck? if you have the time, check out my infect deck http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=163680
Also, the idea of the pod is that you can over a few turns grow a creature to something big, yes? But you have no 4 mana creature, so you won't be able to get up to the heights of the big beefy creatures with the pod.
get some inkmoth nexus in there!
Geth and the Massacre worm don't really fit in with the deck... i mean even if you get the Phyresis on them, they still cost a whole lot of mana, and their abilities don't help the infect cause at all. get some ichor rats in there - those guys rock! and have a gander at my infect deck if you want: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=163680
you need more rats dude, plus more ways to abuse the fact you can have a horde of relentless rats, like thrumming stone, or door of destinies have a geez at my ratty rat deck http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=177328
yeah i think i need to drop a few lands, though i do like the idea of having enough to always play safe passage in the opponents turn when needed.. might just drop some land and put in some coat of arms (seeing as almost everything is a knight).. or maybe some draw cards
Id drop the cards that destroy enemy creatures (go for the throat etc... it's not like, in most cases, they can block you anyway right) and focus more on cards that can get the combo underway.. get cards that guarantee you can dish out those 10 poison counters before the opponent deals 20 damage. maybe more demonic tutor, a 4th exoskeleton, and some other way of drawing more cards
inkmoth nexus might be good for getting in that first poison counter if you have no rats in hand... Looks pretty cool but how reliably can you get the counters on before losing all your life? How has it played. i have an infect deck also (though more creature/attacky based).. give it a geez if you want http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=163680
wow, Bloodbond March makes this deck vicious!
Yeah it's a deck theme i've seen on here quite a bit.. trying to make my own cheaper version of a rat deck.
Works pretty well so far... I can get the Emrakul out insanely fast (usually with Hypergenisis or mana boost with Summoning Trap)... And if the opponent can somehow actually counter it i can just make another within a few turns. So far only really loses to decks that can get around the defenders and kill me before the big fella comes out
Giant growth is pretty good, but doesn't let me draw cards.. I was wanting a cheap draw, so I can get the decent cards out, with also having the option to get a small boost to attack if i need it.. I am, however, getting more coat of arms in the deck, cause either that, the siege tower, or wildpair tend to be the 3 ways this deck gets rolling.
like what? Going for the spider theme yo!
