Yea,h you need to redo the lich's 1 mana ability to infinitely cast that myr over and over because: when you tap the 1 mana for the lich's ability, it only targets 1 creature. You target the myr and then even though the myr will die, he would no longer be targeted when he comes back to the graveyard. You need that infinite mana source to keep bringing the myr back. So, try and find a way to get priest of urabrask in here. I playtested against a lich deck that did the priest+lich+perilous combo, it's slow to get going, but it kills when it comes online. What you need is ways to get around grafdiggers cage, nihil spellbomb, thraben heretic, and other cards that destroy the combo you're going for. And on top of that, you have to be sure you have defensive status going on so that someone won't kill you off while you wait for the lich to come on the board.

PS: if you really want an infinite combo with the lich, somehow put a few priest of urabrask in. Once you have the priest and perilous myr in your gravyard and then a lich and heartless summoning on the board, it goes: pay the 1 mana for the lich abiltiy, and then pay 1 red to cast priest. you're given 3 red mana and the priest dies . You repeat this and every single time you bring back a priest, it stocks up the red mana count up by 1. So you can do this an infinite amount of times. After that's done, bring back the perilous myr over and over and it dies everytime causing 2 damage to your opponent, game. So I am very confused as to why you think this deck has an infinite combo right now. The only other infinite combo I know of with the lich in standard is: hearltess summoning and lich on board, grimgrin and either bloodline keeper or thraben doomsayer in graveyard. Cast the grimgrin and the token creating creature form your graveyard with the lich's ability, lich gains both activated abilities of grimgrin and the token creator. Tap the lich to create a token, sac it to the lich and it gets a +1/+1 counter. Repeat. You have a X/X lich (saying that the x's mean infinite)
Pretty much what I see so far isn't infinite. I'm trying to see a focus on how it would be with havengful lich, but i don't see anything that would infinitely give you mana to activate the lich's ability infinitely.
What's the combo?
To work the mirror-mad to the supreme: only run 1, get it into your graveyard, have maniac on the board, play necrotic ooze and use the phantasm ability. I'd say drop the grindclocks, 1 phantasm, the cellar doors and then put in a necrotic ooze or 2 and more land.
Switch the clifftop retreats to Sacred Foundries and you'll then be able to fetch your duo lands.
Could probably put a lili of the veil or 2 in here: with her +1 just discard a creature you're going to be getting back while also thinning your opponent's hand. Plus, you get the extra possibility of making them sac a creature, works well against those shroud and hexproof creatures (looking at you thrun.....)
Needs atleast 2 of 1 card: Ratcatcher. :3
Also a quick look at comments for meloku on the gatherer, I could put a couple azusa, lost but seeking in to help accumulate the land play with the oracle. and maybe a couple crucible of worlds to bring back my fetchlands.
From what I can see, those suggestions are very good. Can definitely see switching out ob nixilis with meloku and one of the swamps with oboro.
Thanks for the suggestions, I'll have a look at them. I'm new to Modern, so I don't have a vast knowledge of older sets. XD I've mainly been hearing about cards and seeing them from people who own them in my play group and doing some research of older sets. Also, have a look at the other 2 modern decks I've put up. My cascade one works pretty nice and have actually spent hours on end tweaking it. Bringing a proxy in next FNM to test it out against my buddy's modern deck. Only thing I know for sure right now is that I'm going to start modern off with that 'Crux of Modern' deck that I saw on Building on a Budget (the store where I play FNM at is bring Modern in in about a month or so) and I'll definitely be trying to grab a playset of Noble Hierarch considering she is a very good card and very reusable. After that, I'll see where Modern takes me in builds. I believe I'll branch off to making this deck after the Crux and then branch off to whatever I feel is best after that time.
I love vault..... I have a token based deck that runs 2. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=301938 This deck destroyed my buddy's modern deck. The vault is a great defense tactic, especially when you have a bunch of chump blockers and a couple fatties on the board sitting on 4 mana and a vault during the opposing player's turn. Build up your army big and have the most board presence.
Switch steady progress with tezzeret's gambit. Same mana price (just minus 2 life) and you draw an extra card. to counter the life lost, maybe throw in a chalice of life or two somewhere. You'll have the chance to untap it with voltaic key and unwinding clock, so it can possibly give you 2 life each turn.
I was in the middle of deciding the lands. XD I'm not use to Ravnica lands, only format I've ever made decks for has been standard.
+2 Stromkirk Nobles, no need for so many Falkenrath Marauders in the sideboard, they are too costy on mana and don't really justify having so many of them with that cost. +2 Bloodline, +2 tribute to hunger, atleast +2 Black Sun's Zenith (You WILL run into Mirran Crusader, so you need a way to get rid of any that hit the board.), atleast -1 patrician, -2 or -4 vampiric fury (very unreliable. I use to have it in my vampire deck, barely used it.) Atleast +2 curse of stalked prey (helps pump up your vampires more so: the ones that originally wouldn't get pumped, and more to the ones that would.), in sideboard, atleast 2 memoricide. These are just basic suggestions I have.
More full moon's rise, needs mayor of avabruck (all werewolves need mayor), and then after that point, I don;t know enough about current werewolf decks to make them work right, but I do know that once Dark Ascension comes out, there's going to be a lot more werewolves flowing through standard.
Almost forgot the link: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=279755
Just like everyone else, I'm confused as to why this is on front page. the mana curve is definitely out of whack. Maybe look around at other vamp decks to figure out a good idea. PS: If anyone's interested, I have a R/B with a W splash vampire deck set up and it's pretty much ready for when the new Sorin comes along for 2012 standard along with that splash of white to counter things like humans (#1 enemy of my vampire deck)
Actually have made a lot of changes now even since this last comment, hah. Oh well, you still get a jist.
Almost standard legal, but the Kazandu refuge ruins that. And personally, although werewolves seem like fun, they are weak in my opinion. You'd have to go cookie-cutter for werewolves to work just right. Can end up going most games without any card flipping, its very sad. Plus, have yet to see any werewolves being played in my meta.
