I'm curious how you think a commander could be removed? And also, I can bet most player's decks are not set to have a win-con with the lands they would have and such as quickly as this deck would. Their's would have to be a win-con not based on creatures

My only concern I guess is for Red Decks with low mana instants. However, if Painful Quandary is out, at least the damage is likely even.
Hey thanks! I'm glad you gave it a look! It's unloved since people pass it by ha
Also, I threw in Serum Visions rather than Mishra's Bauble just to make it significantly cheaper.
Hey thanks for the many thoughts!I took out Startled Awake, but kept in the Hedron Crabs. After playing, they appear to be the fastest method for reaching effects such as Visions of Beyond. They also help to start a mill on turn 2, rather than waiting for turns 3 or 4 with the enchantments. I get it that drawing on my end is nice, but milling is what ultimately wins. Since I don't have mana accelerants, I generally don't play out all of the cards I draw anyway.I like the thought of Jace's Archivist. It definitely makes for faster play, and ideally, it would only be in two-player games. The other opponent(s) would benefit from card draw if I didn't time it well. But regardless, that effect doesn't have to be used if I don't want it to be. As for Jace's Phantasms, I'm fine to keep those with a sideboard in case I come across a deck that has more force and a threat. Still, they are good for versatility. Splashing black I think would slow the deck down with needing specific mana on the opening turns, despite there being good cards available. Much appreciated,Scatterbrain3d
haha I didn't notice that! $5 goes a long way perhaps?Silly anointed procession
good thoughts, thanks
Bumps the price, but yeah thanks
Thanks for the look! And mkay, I made fixes and the combos are all 4 or 1 each of cards except Fog Bank at 3
Thanks for the view and the +1! Look closer now that I edited. Everything actually is stacked at 4 or 1 each for cards except Fog Bank. Surveilling Sprite and Palace Familiar serve the same purpose in the deck.
Mishra's Bauble also makes the deck conceptually at 56 rather than 60
Fair enough here. I added in to make 4 of those
Ah, but it does surprisingly. The point of the one mana spells and mishra's baubles makes it so you only need one land and one or two of those to start your hand. The draw function of the deck makes up for the initial lack. But I added it up to 18 anyway with taking out Ancestral Vision and Time Warp.
Also, if you mulligan a couple of times, you can save having to discard due to hand size in the first turn. It also helps to bring out the cards that allow for the max hand size if you didn't draw them initially
Does this work?
I like it, thanks
Any suggestions? Or is this good to go you think?
Very cool. I added all of those cards except for Spine of Ish Sah since it's too high of a cost for what I'm going for. I also added in a Lux Cannon and Universal Solvent
Fair enough, any immediate suggestions for those that you can think of? I'll go looking myself soon
That's fair. You still are stuck with only your commander doing control, as your permanents would take significantly longer to hit the battlefield. I just remade this deck with a creature based approach. Check it out with the merfolk! http://www.mtgvault.com/scatterbrain3d/decks/jin-edh-much-improved-merfolk/
