...i see how you don't lose, but how do you win?

i decided to switch out the skullclamps for culling dias, they work kinda the same. I would sacrifice my bloodghasts and nether traitors until the culling dias had 7 or eight counters and then draw 7 new cards. It still works well, obviously it no skullclamp bloodghast combo, but it still works. Im trying to get this deck legal in extended. Right now all cards are except for nether traitor and cruel edict. Any other option anyone can think off? If not the deck still runs in modern.
Ob Nixilis is my favorite landfall creature, next to hedron crabs xD. Im kinda confused why you have ichor wellspring is in here, sure you get the drawing power, but you have no way to sacrifice it... I think infiltrators lens would maybe work better, but what do i know. I would suggest cloudstone curio, but he isnt in extended, legacy or ventage, but not extended. I could use some help on my mill deck http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=232783 and also check out my Damnation deck. Could use the helpful tweaking
I already created an alternate version of this one. haha. It still needs some work i think but it focuses on infect, proliferating and milling, all at the same time, giving a lot of balance for multiple win conditions.
It definitely milling thats for sure. Haha. But i feel like its very unfocused. Like you just found cards with mill effects and put them in a deck. Don't get me wrong, thats how a lot of my decks start out, but then i start narrowing down which cards work best with my playing style and the cards i like. If you like the mindcrank + bloodchief combo, then add at least 1 more of each(4 mind and 2-3 bloodchief), to increase your chances of getting the combo out. Then start adding cards that either support the combo or are by the combo. Check out my mill deck http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=232783 and check my deck list page for its predecessor.
Hey nice mill deck. I would defiantly remove a few chancellors if i were you. They might have a good initial effect but it wont be until turn 7 at the least you will be able to play him. So 2 of them should be fine, but four is just asking for dead draws. I love dissipation field. The only problem with it is that you still get damaged form the creature before its returned to there hand. I would sideboard it, because its really only useful against decks that use a lot of enchanting auras. So i find myself getting ride of it from every blue deck i build(but i still start out with 2 in every deck haha). I like that you have surgical extraction in here, maybe you could add 2 more in place of 2 spires and maybe add either another jace, memory adept, psychrosis crawler, or venser's journal in place of dissipation field. Haha sorry about the long winded comment, i just got done making 2 mill decks myself. Check it out. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=232783 and take a look at the original mill deck too. Happy millin
if your a stickler for 60 cards, you could run it without 2x elixir of immortality, 1 jace's archivist and a vapor snag.
Thats a good point. It would definitely run more smoothly that way.
haha i saw the turn to frog card, i didnt really take it to seriously. And yeah ill put in some torpor orbs
Oh i see. But someone told me that lands from older sets dont get phased out like the rest of the cards or were they wrong? If so then yeah this deck will be running a whole lot different than i planned. Is it just basic lands that stay, like you could use the zendikar basic lands or every single card gets banned?
And sorry... Im not really sure what you talking about in the first half of you comment, im not using terramorphic expanse nor do i have ghost quarter in the deck because its for standard...
Hey thanks for the help, and yeah i was wondering wether or not to add metamorphs. They seem kinda redundant and don't really work as well as images in this deck. But i did need to take out some dragons(4 was way to many) but ill defiantly put in 2 or three metamorphs in the dragons place.
thanks, yeah i through him into the sideboard. He is good, but once an illusion is targeted, even if you change what the spell will be targeting in the end, the illusion still gets saced. But he will come in handy against heave removal decks so I still added him in place of turn aside.
check out my deck http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=231661
How does disperse run? I have vapor snag in mine, if disperse was another boomerang i would total run it, but I dont seem me needing to run disperse when im most most likely going to be returning a creature anyways.
Hey man sick deck, my deck is REALLY similar, kinda upsetting i was hoping to have an original deck(but that seems to be impossible in this game), anyways... how well does turn aside work? I pretty sure even if you counter a spell that is targeting your illusions they still get sacrificed, but how often do you find yourself using it to stop counter against your other creatures(mainly lord)? Hey check out my illusion deck, dont hate or anything, i swear I didnt see this deck until just now when i was trying to get ideas to improve my deck. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=231661
Hey sick deck man. I just have one comment, if this is for tournament in standard you only have a couple of weeks left until you would need to update this deck. The zendikar block(along with magic 2011 cards) will be banned in standard on September 30, when innistrad is released. So you might want to find replacements for everflowing chalice, spell pierce, and preordain. Preordain is an easy fix, ponder, but for the other Im kinda new and don't really know any equivalents. Check out my aggro-control illusion deck> http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=231661
Please help make improvement and a sideboard, i want this deck to run after zendikar block gets phased out.
Kemba or suture preist?
Should i just go with mono white then? that only leave negate and oculus... Yeah i think i will.
