The tendrils is actually the harder combo to satisfy, it costs an additional mana, which unless your ramping gives your opponent that extra turn for an answer over Decaying soil, and Decaying Soil as I said will have more Threshold fuel off of the rituals and the Sign in Bloods, also as much as it will be harder to pull off by putting out Decaying Soil early, it gives your opponent less chances to respond, and less time to get hit by a Hymn or Thoughtseize.

Drop the Tendrils of Agony for Dark Ritual, gives you mana to start putting cards on the battlefield (and in the dirt) right away, because I think you are missing that for any of the combos to work u need seven cards in the dirt, and your removing one every upkeep means ur probably not going off for a few turns, perhaps also some draw spells, splashing Blue for Preordain and Ponder works, Sign in Blood (is still good) if you want to keep it mono black...Exsanguate is better because Consume Spirit requires strictly Black Mana which ur Myr doesn't cover...

Although that is an excellent idea, I think Birthing Pod is too expensive for his goals
yeah Budget for me is any deck below 50.00 (but then again I spend few hundred per deck) lol
Elvish mystic is less than .50 and birds can be bought for as low as 1.40 ea from M11, 3.05 avg price, so adding 4 of each would keep your deck below 25.00
Rites of Flourishing then, its only .75
each of those cards is budget :) I've got expensive ramp options for days :P
i totally forgot about Primal Growth :( Ashamed green player over here :( the only downside is it was never printed Modern frame legal. Also Rites of Flourishing might help too, not entirely sure
your mana curve is high, might i suggest dropping a couple lands for rampant growths? this will give you more lands quicker and maybe drop the scavenger for a birds, or one of the 1/1 for 1 elf dorks? just because your win cons seem way to high in cmc
so I'd say the avg win for this deck is probably turn 2/3
I should also note that the only ones I won by actually swinging were the ones on t3, the others were concedes
i threw this deck together and played 25 games with it, I won 5 of them on turn one 5, another 6 of them on turn 2, 4 on turn 3, so this deck def has potential, the problem this deck faces is the force of will or daze against your hexmage which people will mull for (daze not a problem unless you space a forget you still have a mana floating)
with the draw sample hand, its inaccurate, because it is truly 100% random, whereas with physical cards, even if somebody else shuffles my deck, with unmarked sleeves i can still usually guess 5/6 cards in my opener and be right.Your right Fling is useless, but he does have a lot of removal incase his dream hand doesn't happen and he needs to keep a board clean. also red has some rather decent card draw across the ages. Finally most people (at least in my meta) will just concede with a t1 Marit lage on the field, so dropping a dark ritual and lightning greaves narrows it to 4 cards which is more likely, and achievable if you use the "draw sample hand" feature :P
or because you are using Mountains, Chained to the Rocks and then your opponent doesn't get a benefit

1) how did you add so many tags to this when there is only a max of 42) Wall of Tanglecord doesn't serve much of a purpose in this deck, perhaps a Regal Force or at least Elvish Mystic for more ramp

I personally would drop the painlands and up the shock amount to full, the 2 life is only once, and you can put it into play tapped if you wont have any plays that turn, with that said, fetches are an idea because you can sac them at the end of your opponents turn and then are only dealing yourself one damage, one time, something the life gain from Thragtusk will offset.The refuges are ok, but they aren't great, if your running shocks, replacing them with M10/Innistrad cycle dual lands might be more efficient, since they should be coming in untapped off your shock lands unless your having bad luck. last but not least, throwing Rupture Spire in as a 2 of could be beneficial just because it can tap for any of the three your color,
