http://www.mtgvault.com/rickell/decks/infinite-mana-t4/I built a much higher priced version of your deck, check it out here :)I really loved your deck list and I am going to try both out for FNM this week and next
You sir need to switch up Devil's Play and Blaze with Banefire and Demonfire, it looks as though you should have an empty hand, making Demonfire uncounterable and Banefire should be uncounterable too. Also instead of Cancel, Remand is cheaper on the mana, Mana Leak and Spell Pierce are also possibilities just to stop your combo pieces from being countered
It indeed works in EDH, there was a whole debate about this with Relentless Rats, and the victor was card rule overrules any offical rule (card limit, land per turn etc) now with EDH some groups do house rules and they may ask that Shadowborne and Relentless rats be limited to one per deck
I find this deck's lack of Demon's disturbing, Malfegor would be an awesome general for a demon deck then u can dual it up with R/B, and have way more demon selection
Naya... and the deck needs a lot of clean up, particularly in the creature zone, I'd add more Keeper of Progenitus, I'd add some shocks and fetches, drop the gates, if the cost of fetches in an issue, the Naya Panorama may help a little bit, also Modern has slown down enough to consider Thragtusk. I like the who power 5 or higher idea you have going on though but perhaps narrow it down to some specific win cons
This standard doesn't have enough lightning bolt :( So while we wait for Lightning Bolt, where is Skullcrack as at least 2 of in the deck over Searing Spear, also Spark Trooper does nothing here at all, Zealous Conscripts however is a card, also putting more 1/2 mana cards in play (Boros Elite, Daring Skyjek, and if you go human route, Champion of the Parish) is needed to survive the early game against Azorious Aggro, Jund Aggro, B/R Zombies, etc. As DJ said Thragtusk and Sphinx's Revelation are cards so strongly consider the Skullcrack, it wont stop Tusk or Revelation from being played but it counters the desirable effects of these cards (life gain). Also, Nearheath Pilgrim paired with Boros Reckoner and Boros Charm, is an infinite life combo.
Dont get me wrong, burn is just as cool and being red/blue, burn is very pliable with splash control to make sure u burn em out
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=392311 this is my Izzet for control, I'll be posting a burn Izzet and a Modern Izzet shortly
if you are going for a control aspect, where r u counterspells: Dissipate Counterflux Negate Essence Scatter Dispel There are many other counterspells in standard to but a couple of them have drawbacks, Goblin Ectromancer is a nice 2 drop that makes Instants and Sorceries one cost cheaper per Goblin, also 2 less bonfires, if you have a 4 of, your more likely to hit one in opening hand and in the first 5 turns, which is when u least want one. It almost appears that rather than being a control deck that you are trying to be a burn deck, and in that case, drop the keyrunes for Thunderous Wrath, its a supershock when Miracled, drop Blistercoil Weird for Guttersnipe and Index for Mizzium Mortars. Hope this helped
your last combo wont work, mikeaus also give +1/+1 to trisk meaning heartless wont kill him once you burn the +1/+1 counters
both are interesting combos, but its only inf damage if yout have inf mana for play 1 cuz you still have to pay havs (1) and you could do the second combo to get that mana, but then you got run all the way up the mana, then all the way down the mana, whereas you could just run up the mana in combo 2 then devils play saving 5 mana (3 incase of counter, 2 for the head start then if countered flash back devils play
I would drop a shrine for another Elspeth... i ran this deck at the Thursday night Deck Test and it got owned,
Progentius and could you post a deck for standard Zombies
Can I suggest taking out Tezzeret' Gambit and adding 2 more Vampiric Fury, also, Sideboard the Go for the throat and add in 2 more Doom Blades, black's biggest threat is Grave Titan while their is so much artifact threat out there.... so here is a side board... 4x Go For The Throat, 4x Dismember, 2x Falkenrath Marauders, 1x Olivia Voldaren (Incase opponent runs vamps, then you have third after popping their two) 4x Bloodline Keeper
Def add the volt charges
It needs more creatures, you'll get rolled on faster than a buddhist monk before you get ur titan out, and Snap just wont cut it as a defence
did you list every card u own lol jk but what I would do if I was you is turn this into EDH
drop memnite for shrine, and drop Incinerate for Brimstone Volley... use it with goblin grenade and arsonist for 11 damage, or keep the incinerate and drop ruthless, as long as you get the falling rocks in there. also keep kuldotha because if shrine is to slow, you can get three goblins out, but for extra fun remove kuldotha and put in infernal plunge, it can be a second turn goblin cheiftan. Play mountain, play arsonist, next turn play mountain, play plunge, play cheiftan, play fireslinger, i could keep going on with ideas because Goblins are so much fun in all formats :P
or Incinerate or even better because Arsonist and Grenade are here put in Brimstone Volley, that would be 11 damage for 5 mana... First play Arsonist, then sac it for Goblin Grenade, thats 6 damage, finally play Volley, because creature died, it deals 5 rather than 3 :)
