@Lepellier. good to know. thanks. still, its been fun to play with casually. i never get to add counters. since last time i played Thrumming had the blade, mind crank was out, and skirge had the mantle on it. skirge 2 damage, 2 life thrumm with cards milled was 6 so hit for 7 mindcrank milled another 9. decent for a turn i might have to pull out thrumm for now then and add.....signal pest? anyone have cheap cmc and $ cost suggestion?
the whole point was: for any of the creatures here have a great chance of one turn infect, or great lifelink, or unblockable damage with trep blade + damage.
+4 counters on thrummingbird that +5 was a mistype
Trepanation blade + thrumming bird + mindcrank. is fun. also spirit mantle + thrumming bird = direct damage AND it will prolif onto its self each turn after it deals damage. if you attack with thrummingbird with trp blade and it gets oh lets say 4 cards milled. thats +4 added to its 1/1 for the turn, it deals 5 damage, they mill 4 cards, thrummingbird gets +5/+0 counters added to it. to be used next turn. repeat.
I didn't include dual lands since i don't have any laying around. working on the lands for the correct mix for now.
Death's Shadow does not work well, since if you are above 13 life it automatically goes into the graveyard as soon as it's on the battlefield before you can declare a sacrifice. replace it with Death cultists or fume spitters. they cost B as well and have a sacrifice ability.
Panic SpellBomb > Fling. i know you loose a Sorc. but its cheaper and you can have it in play beforehand so you can cast hopefully another inst/sorc to ramp your creatures before you attack.
Dump the tunneler for 4x Panic spell bombs. cheaper, no summoning sickness. I like your deck. fast and easy to use.
Nice. i had/have a deck similar to this. but it has dual B/U lands and some blue spells and black creatures. i have traumatize/tome scour in there to mill yourself and drop bonehord. at turn 5 ive had bonehoard at like 12/12. also if you dump in a core prowler, play it, next turn traumatize and bonehoard and sac the prowler you can have a 30/30 easy. just for fun.
I'm not sure you can pay 'life for mana' once you get to zero life.
This is good but if anyone is playing white with Suture Priest in it, the infinite creature combo is bad news for you.
also take out 4 lands and put in guul draz vamp, another good 2 drop. if you want to keep 2 drops put in bloodghast since when you sac you can landfall him back to the battlefield.
There are too many 2 drop creatures to get Demon out on T2. I suggest Fume Spitter and Death Cultist (standard), since both of these are 1 drops AND when sac'd they have good creature killing abilities and or life gain. dump out Highborn and Hexmage. if you need those the game has gone too long and winning will get tight. i run pretty much this same deck except with my suggestions. if you can't win by turn 5 its really hard to win at all.
Telemin Performance is out since its no longer standard this deck rocks in extended with mind funeral and countersquall. but alas no more. i need death cultist in with fume spitter for sac for the idol and or simple blocking. i had a deck similar with necrogen cencer but it never worked as planned.
The deck i made a few month's back is close to this. but I made mine faster and a bit easier to always drop something from your hand. Quest for the gravelord is a must for a deck like this. also add a diabolic tutor incase you dont pull a Demon in the opening hand or withing the first 2 pulls. add more black 1 drop creatures. guul draz vampire/assassin. dump out the 2 drops like pawn and gatekeeper. eliminate spells that dont effect creatures. add vampire's bite, or tainted/virulent swipe. just as suggestions.
The only problem is everyone that does constructed knows about the T2 infinite mana/myr combo. the only problem is if someone re-directs the fireball, or comet storm...etc. if you based this off of Myr propagator instead, infinite creatures pack an unstoppable punch.
Yes, i think if you have an Amulet of Vigor out in play it would make this work. or at least somewhat work. But it would work just as well for your foe since you have to skip an infinite amount of turns to get an infinite amout of turns.
Solid idea. i can only suggest that you include Distortion strike. since its cheap, pumps up an uinfect creature and has rebound. you can add these in place of the shield. if you want.
Orni/Shield/Net are for counters to throw on the demon if yuo have the PainSmith out.
