That is a good question. I'm not really sure, that is why I suggested only 1 or a max of 2. It does give board presence, as well, but read is very good. He allows drawing if you are tied for the greatest toughness as well, which you will likely have unless a siege rhino comes down.Every turn he lets you draw a card makes him that much more of a target. Your deck is in it for the long-game, so he might have some value or might be removed quickly. Unsure!

Warrior's lesson was put in 6 times on accident. I hate it when the site doubles your cards!
I would say if you drew 2 cards off of him he's done his job. He is a bit pricey but it's likely you will have a wall of mulch or a disowned ancestor down prior to playing him. I'd take out one read the bones and put one beastmaster, or if I were to run 2 of those guys take out a kheru I think. Reasoning is that the beastmaster has a good chance of netting at least 1 card and potentially more draw than read. The kheru is good but does not proc itself easily, although 2 beastmasters may be more detrimental than one. As I said it may do better in a bolster oriented deck where it won't stay 2/1 forever, not that those are competitive.
Yes I agree with Warrior's Lesson, that is one of my favorite underused card draws.
Yay! Blaggro! I love these type of decks. I recommend taking a look at the following: Gurmag Swintwing, Mogis's Mauraders, Spiteful Returned (maaaybe, the bestow is nice and works lategame), Brutal Hordechief (although his activated is W/R) and Mardu Strike Leader.
Yea try out some combos. One card that Azorius Heroic uses is Defiant Strike since it gives card draw as well. Not sure if you need it but it works with that deck. How does the deck fare in FNM?
If you are having fun with making an 11/11 on turn 3 then by all means keep it in. With that in mind and you wanting to take out the phalanx leader I would also consider taking out wingsteed, double white is so painful IMO, if you want speed. You lack evasion beyond the wingsteed riders, which is why I suggested abzan falconer or maybe even tusk guard since it gives trample? (Or Bow of Nylea?) God's Willing is also nice as protection also gets you through since they can't block.Abzan battle priest is a nice later game drop to keep you surviving, I know it's 4 mana but consider sideboarding 2 for control decks?I like this deck, I'm just trying to suggest changes that can face the thousand of Abzan aggro and midrange decks, where you are suddenly dumping cards from your hand to stop a fleecemane lion or Anafenza from stomping your face.
Cool, looks pretty fun. Test it out and see how it runs, I do love Deflecting Palm. Let me know how it goes!
He plays into dictate and reaper plus since he is not the biggest threat on the board will either draw wasted removal or get through unblocked. He's passive card draw, which is amazing. Maybe would do better in a bolster deck.
Elvish mystics don't play much of a role in this deck, I would scrap those I don't think they are needed with your mana ramp. Setessen Oath Sworn is double green, which elf helps with, but really green is not that strong when it comes to heroic creatures, you may want to consider sticking strictly to white creatures or add in some white/green like fleecemane lion.Consider 2-4 Abzan Battle Priest in your deck along with a falconer.
Instead of Fate Foretold I recommend Stratus Walk, gives evasion and card draw.Replace Spark Jolt with another burn spell (Magma Jet, Lightning Bolt), Treasure cruise, hard counter spells like dissolve or Monastery Siege. Counter Spells will protect you against enchantment wipes. Actually, Gods Willing would work great to protect your creatures and set off heroic. Brave the Sands is not going to be very useful for you, your creatures are too small. 1 or 2 hypnotic siren would actually be fun here. Encrust, Singing Bell Strike or other cheap control also works.Ordeal of Purphuros is going to take forever to go off with no other +1/+1 token creators. Enchantment creatures may be better in this slot, maybe Aegis of the Gods. Eidolon of Countless Battles would work here too but it costs 3. Banishing Light is also an option.Other than that I like the idea.
Anzam Beastmaster might play well in this deck.
Awesome, bolster would really help the sage. I know why you have awaken the bear in there but I think Feat of Resistance would play better into pumping up sage.
Like the idea, but to pull this off you need way more ramp. Nix some of the expensive, not great dragons for more ramp (noxious and destructor for example).Try 4 voyaging satyrs, 4 coursers, 1 Nykthos along with your caryatids. You can un-tap those crucibles and really pump out some mana.Check out my deck, it has too much ramp but you get the idea:http://www.mtgvault.com/polis/decks/grub-manazoids/
It's so much better than lava axe. SO MUCH. Definitely limited playable. No I do not care to expand upon my statement. I'm trolling here.
Nice concept. Suggestions:Wall of Frosts for those scourges to devour (7 +1/+1 counters each) instead of war wingsOne or two Stratus Walk for evasion for the scourge and draw for chasmOne treasure cruise or ingenuity
Stick a Daghatar the Adamant in this deck ($0.10) and a few dragonscale generals ($0.20).
Epyc1 check out my new deck: http://www.mtgvault.com/polis/decks/grub-manazoids/Let me know what you think.
The new fate card, Fascination, would be hilarious! XUU - Each player draws X cards or puts the top X cards of their library into their graveyard.
Pearl means a 2 - 3 turn win over a 5 turn win. Assuming 20 health of your opponent.
