Most Blue - Black Controls these days run Sea Gate Oracles and Grave Titans

Birds of Paradise could help? and Primeval for Frost to help your mana ramp but it depends on the budget you are working with
I agree with Pokemon the Lich-Darksteel Axe combo is sweet, I'd have more cheap artifacts if the Lich is the focus of this deck
If I were you I would keep redirect as a side board card as it will only really be useful against certain decks, try sub in some more creatures to make Quest for Ula more effective.
I'll Take a look at it, but I did use 4 preordains anyway? lol
If I was making an extended deck you would of course be right about ponder and sage owl and I would probably make room for them.
Does anyone have any opinions on whether I should keep the Deprives as protection from late game changing spells or just replace them with more cheap creatures?
I like your thinking with deprive and halimar depths, I've taken that idea and added it to one of my decks (Similar strategy but I use lots of Cheap creatures to help ensure Quest for Ula gets them counters) I also like the inclusion of Djinn of Wishes but its not standard legal, thanks :P
Birds of Paradise x 4 if possible if not, try llanowar elves so you can start playing those more expensive spells a bit earlier in games.
The deck could use a little work, I don't think that the wind zendikon is serving any purpose to the control and also Kraken's eye isn't needed as the rest of your deck should prevent you taking damage if it is control. Taking these out will get your deck to 60 cards making it a lot more efficient in giving you your more useful spells.
Of course thanks for reminding me about Halimar Depths can't believe I forgot it. Sage Owl and Ponder aren't currently standard legal so I'm going to to have to leave those suggestions sorry
Thanks I just didn't want to build another control deck for a while when I could be building a deck that's fun to play casual as well as effective. Of course I'm unsure as to how effective this will be yet. I like the thinking with the wayfinder I'll make room in the deck for it.
Iam considering it if i cant get some of the rares
Actually yeah with Stoneforge Mystic that could work thanks, I'll keep an eye out for Stoneforge Mystic. Sorry I didn't notice before my first comment.
I didn't really think Argentum Armor would really go very well with the mana curve
Thanks, Yeah it is but there are a couple of things in Scars that are broken so it balances out xD
You could replace the white element for black and swap the myr smiths for exsanguinate and Gold Myrs for Leaden Myrs. It would give you another win card in a similar way to fireball
Yes it does mean you can do that, but there are plenty of ways of getting around it, one example would be destroying knight exemplar, or you could use removal on the collar, or even use infect creatures that can kill indestructible creatures. There are other ways round it too but the point is it doesn't have to be end game just because of them 2 cards although it is a strong combination.
Having only 20 lands however I would consider replacing Kabira Vindicator with a cheaper mana costing knight. (Sorry for not putting all this in one comment)
Not that I really think this deck should have infect
