I am not sure if blue is giving you enough here. Battlewise Hoplite and Aqueous form. There are a lot of replacements for those cards. I would suggest Hero of Iroas and Canopy Cover. Especially Canopy Cover. Super cheap, powerful, and underappreciated. The only reason Canopy cover doesn't see play is because these decks typically have hexproof creatures anyway. It's perfect for a heroic aura deck. Don't forget about Alpha Authority. Very similar.

It certainly has tons of potential for brewers. I have my set for long term.
Yes. A 4/4 vigilance life linker for 2 mana. Because the batterskull enters attached to a 0/0 germ token. The ability lets you drop it at instant speed. And it's uncounterable unless they stifle it or something. It's even more abusive than that though. Batterskull has an ability that lets you return back to your hand for 3 mana. And of course Stoneforge mystic can still put it back on the battlefield at instant speed. So it's this reoccurring threat that can't be stopped. It's oppressive. I have won so many games winning through artifact destruction because they just can't catch me without mana.
I played against this deck last week. It actually works. And what I noticed was how graveyard hate was slightly weak against it. Given the amount of counters. But also you can just play your threats the old fashioned way. Not using the graveyard. Though High value decks like midrange or control do tend to beat it late I find. I'll build my own version at some point. Seems like it could be a great case for a transformational sideboard. Taking out living end as your opponents sides in the hate. Or I may make a traditional sideboard. Not sure how I want to go with it. I feel like it has alot of potential.
Stoneforge Mystic
Star studded cast of creatures. But the equipment lineup not so much. Stoneforge and Batterskull is one of the most abusive card relationships in legacy right now. But it's so oppressive that I would give much respect if your trying to go your own way and not use it. There are five swords with dual protections and damage abilities if you wish. Don't forget the Jitte if your trying to stick to legacy. The new dowsing dagger could be an option considering your unblockable creatures. Elbrus, the binding blade and Stoneforge could result in a nasty finisher. Godsend is still an underappreciated utility equipment. Just some possible options.
I still liked tendrils in the deck tbh. It's still removal and it's still infinite life. It just can't kill your opponent.
Important note: Tendrils of Corruption cannot target players.
Your opponents are going to be doing things. Probably before turn 20. Seems like you should have some things to do. Counterspells? Walls? Propaganda?
Infinite combo's are certainly casual material. The only thing Casual means in fun for you and your opponents. For some play groups that includes infinite combos. As long as it's fun for everyone. It may not be for your causal group but it will be for many other casual groups. Especially in my playgroup. Sure, a lot of them are goofy AF. But it's awesome to see something new go off. I will probably use this combo myself actually. I like it quite a bit.
Not sure where your going with this deck. You have a lot of bombs. But not a lot of lands and very little interaction. I would take away some of your top end threats and add lands. ramp. removal, or utility creatures. Tons exist, and a focused theme would go a long way in getting more specific help. I also think Isochron Sceptor's are obvious cuts. You only have 2 instant to use it with. You can't really use sceptor reliably until you have about 12 instants with CMC less than 2. And it gets better with more cards. That is about the extent of help I can give at this point. If you have any questions or pick a theme perhaps I can help out more.
This deck is awesome. A couple things to consider. I would personally prefer cutting honor the pure for 2 lands and a few more utility equipment. I never personally liked Honer the pure in these kinds of decks. Maybe a Kemba, Kha Regent. Maybe Gorgen's head. Deathtouch with first strike damage is very hard to deal with. Or even adding a few removal spells. If you ever want an end game plan. You could consider Quest for the holy relic and 1-2 Argentum armor or other beefy equipment. Not sure if this makes the deck better or worse. Just something to consider.
Kor duelist and Bonesplitter is so devastating.
I did something very similar to this once. I used molting skin as my recursion. And I used forced worship as removal, or just something I could use to activate heroic over and over in board stalls. Your deck looks like it hits harder, faster than mine did. I had more heroic creatures and synergy. But it mostly durdled for a bit before I could do any actual damage. It took quite some time before I could actually kill the opponent lol. It was fun as heck though. As I expect this deck to be.
Heck I main deck this card in Sultai midrange. Extremely low floor. If Sultai was more popular we would actually see this in pro play I think.
This card was fantastic and a very popular option until Rakdos Charm came out. Which was cheaper and just had more relevant modes. Jund Charm is still great though.
I don't think it's a particularity strong sideboard card. It's more of a maindeck card for an artifact heavy metagame. I just don't see a 3 damage burn spell in the sideboard to be that relevant. Your deck should be set up to deal with creatures mainboard unless your a combo deck or something special. Most decks have a solid removal package. Or they just plan on being the beatdown. Abrade isn't as versatile as some of the things we have seen in the past like this. For instant Rakdos charm or Golgari charm. And it doesn't even touch the versatility of the 3 color charms. However it's worth noting that Abrade is only red. That counts for something. Mono red has traditionally had very limited sideboard options. And it gets better all the time. For the damage component. It's actually quite weak right now. Creatures are just really fat in modern. Whether it's tarmogoyf, Taisigur, Grim Flayer, Deaths Shadow, Freaking Eldrazi, and all the other fat that tron and ramp decks play. Even lightning bolt is getting cut out of midrange decks. As for as it's most important mode (for the sideboard). It is fairly lackluster. Vandleblast can upgrade from single target removal to a blowout versus some decks. Ancient Grudge is the king of single target if you can use the flashback. And their are many with added effects like Smash to Smithereens. In most of my decks abrade is going to feel a lot like shatter. So I don't like it that much. I am not trying to be hard on the card. In many ways it's great. I just feel I can do better against both creatures and artifacts in modern.
Pretty much agree with everything. I think in order to utilize Ojutai Command, you should have some way to use it's first mode. Otherwise you find yourself with a very mediocre effect against creature less decks. Honestly the power levels are very similar. But Ojitai has a stronger chance to become more weak based on match up. So it's a good idea to utilize that first mode as best as possible. Very well done btw. I hope you keep this up.
I would add a few lightning greaves to protect your win con. And probably a few isochron sceptors.
I have played him a lot. I feel he can only be good in fast aggro or burn style of decks. He just isn't a good card in midrange or control builds. Because he is not reactive at all like snap caster mage. You mentioned the mana problem. But it's also a timing problem. What happens if you reveal a counterspell? It doesn't feel good. Prowess is also very weak in reactive decks. Usually prowess can only be utilized in burn, bounce, and/or cantrip style decks. But is very weak otherwise. These limitations make him playable in only a few decks. And even in those perfect abbot decks. Better options exist most of the time. Your really putting a lot of stock into that extra card if you want him to be playable.
