If you run out of cards why not find a way to put in sign in blood or phyrexian arena/dark tutelage

Make something that no one would think to be a good deck, then make it something epic.

Ahh yea I'm anticipating Innistrad to help keep the deck improved and competitive in standard.
I'll throw in a day and see how it works, if I seem to need it I'll put a second one in. I think I'm gonna drop a squadron hawk for it, I think 3 of them with the cycling will be fine. I completely forgot about day haha thanks.
I don't know what I'd replace for Sigh in Bloods so I'm gonna experiment around and see if I need the extra draw frequently.
Thank you

I was really considering him, but with no alternative way into the grave aside from an opponent (who should know that is definitely the wrong choice), having a 8 card hand (which shouldn't happen) or if my opponent mills me (which isn't too frequent where I play) and the normal field to grave, I don't think he'd be worth crippling the mana curve.

would you mind taking a look at this: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=213313

And depending on the life you got to pay, hitting and gaining 6 could keep you at or above, especially with divinity of pride.

In the comment above I took your advice, thank you. The reason I'm not just dropping 2 tectonics is because I have few answers to valakut without them. They'd sac a forest with pox and kill me with mountains.
Thanks for the tips, I'm going to edit this now.

I have the marsh flats fetch land, I wasn't sure if it'd be worth getting 2 of the BG and 2 arid mesa fetches, would they be worth it?
Where I go for FNM, half the players switched to valakut when cawblade dropped(like 60%+ was cawblade) so I'll side out 2 tectonic edge for fetches. I like keeping 2 in just so I have some defense against man lands if the game gets down to that. I think I'll take out the SB dark tut and arrest (as Mercedes suggested) for tects go fit into side.
I'd love to use Geth's Verdict. it has become one of my favorite removal spells. I don't know if its needed here though, In the side I could drop a dismember for a verdict so its 2-2.
Thanks for the help :D

Instead of Soul's Attendant, use Suture Priest, its a white common from New Phyrexia, it combos nicely with soul warder and sanguine bond. For legacy I don't think this will be fast enough (at my school we just played whatever against whatever, and my teachers made more casual legacy decks match standard decks). I'd throw in Serra Ascendant, it can be a 6/6 flying lifelink for 1 mana!
Aside from that I don't really know what to adjust, life drain hasn't been my thing aside from the blood tribute sanguine bond combo, but don't run that, it ruins games because it's so cheap.

I see how pricey it can get when taken out of standard, I'm experimenting with it without it having an entire deck devoted to it since I don't have income to support decks this expensive just to test out. Thank you for the warning though.
And I understand that much, I assumed that was the reason but just wanted to know if it was worth potentially leaving yourself tapped out (I've been doing some control stuff lately and got used to not wanting to be completely tapped out a lot) and how frequently split second comes in handy, I wasn't around when split-second was standard and most of my playing was standard so far.
thank you for the explanation.

Well, archons are leaders of something by definition, and magic puts them as a creature with wings that doesn't appear human, so I guess wizards wanted something with their own twist.

Drop 2 anawon and 2 Drana because of the legend rule
I'd personally drop 3 of each, add 4 nocturnus, and 2 dismember, then swap 2 doom blades for 2 go for the throat.

Well, you already have gatekeepers, so I'd put in spellskites to keep obliterator safe from dismember or Phyrexian Metamorph to clone an obliterator. It saved my ass so I'd drop 2-3 Hexmages for 2-3 Metamorph and maybe 2 doomblades for 2 lashwrithe? In monoblack lashwrithe + obliterator = opponent shitting pants. I did MBC my first fnm (maybe a month ago) and obliter with lashwrite scared an opponent a lot, keep it out, block with germ as needed, then swing for game with a massive obliterator.

shit, replace doomblades for dismembers, they're much more helpful from what I seen in standard.

I'd also find a black sun's zenith because valakut is now running avenger of zendikar so you got a lot of tokens that can get huge fast if you dont deal with them.

Now, not many decks make me afraid to play them, but this one definately does, I'm still new with extraction (only made a few decks that are in the process of being improved) but this is gonna really hurt no matter what someone plays against it. Can a prison deck lock you down faster than you remove the needed cards in this deck?
If I ever get the goyf or billion dollars of lands here I'm definately going to put my group through hell.
I do have one question, Why run 2 Surgical Extraction and 1 Extirpate instead of 3 Surgical Extractions? Does the one split-second card make a big difference sometimes? I thought the option of tapping out and still being to extract would be better than Extirpate.
