God damn...... that deck is MEAN. Prison nothin, that deck is complete lockdown. I'd have to pray for something in my deck to go off to break the combo, but thats just downright nasty.

Great deck man, props for builing an epic prison deck.

Thanks much everyone for all the comments, all these ideas are splendid. But alas, I am trying to keep the deck as a Type 2 Standard deck. The version number just helps me keep track of how Im altering the deck to make it run. If it werent for trying to keep it T2, I'd have thrown in the 4x Great Furnace. It would be nice to see the artifact lands and even that nice scepter come back in Mirrodin Besieged, but somehow I doubt it.

@LightningRing - Im not really feeling the Cyclops, but it may just be how Im reading it. Without beefing it up with other cards, it seems like its ability will only get it slaughtered. Nice for clearing little chump blockers out of the way, but if you attack with it, get blocked, then have something else deal damage to it, its almost certain death. I'd probably run this guy with a splash of green, so I'd have the instant speed buff cards, like Giant Growth, etc.

@Umbro - No, Mishra's factory is well outside T2 Standard format, its Legacy at best. Would be nice on legacy night, but other than that, I cant fit it into the deck as it stands.

So far this deck is working really well. Ive played it a few times, and havent had too much of a problem, as long as I dont keep a bad hand at the beginning. Ive even swapped out the 4x Bushwhacker for the 2x Fireball and 2x Destructive Force in the sideboard and had it play nicely. Again, it just comes down to what I keep in that first hand.

Could always do what the guy did here with the artifact creature mana loop. Its a bit flimsy, but its there.

Also among the uses for this could be:

Tower of Calamities
Voltaic Key
Lux Cannon
Any proliferate engine (Throne of Geth, Contagion Clasp/Engine, etc.)
Comet Strike

I dont mean to be the one to blow this out of the water, but shatter, demolish, and hoard-smelter dragon (to name a few) would cut down this deck pretty quick.

I love the combo though, and Im going to see about putting this deck together to see what my friends think of it. Credits to you of course!

Very well put together, and the theory is spot on.

Maybe you can throw a couple ideas towards the burn deck that Im working on?

Um.... if this deck isnt standard legal, why do I not see Overrun? and for a deck thats trying to smother your opponent in creatures, how about howl of the night pack?

3 is all I have to run, Im working on getting more though, because I'd like to run a full set. Played this list tonight with a few friends, and it still needs tweaking. One friend suggested Quest for the Pure Flame, gains counters, then drop them and sac it so all my red spells double damage for that turn. I like running the chalices and the keys, only because it gives me a high mana bump. Turn 4 chalice gets 2 counters, then on turn five. can tap, use another mountain on the field to tap the key, untap the chalice and tap it again for 2 more (4 colorless floating) and then all my high cost spells are cut down to 1-2 red mana to cast.

I like the idea of Perilous Myr, but I mostly use the Hoard-Smelter Dragon in combo with the earlier suggestion of Liquimetal Coating, to destroy my opponents cards, and buff my dragon, and/or destroy their existing artifacts. The combo with Liquimetal Coating and Shatter, H-S Dragon, and the Demolish in my sideboard make taking out anything my opponent comes up with pretty easy.

I get what you are saying, but with all the burn option in this deck, I don't think it would hurt to hold onto Galvanic Blast until I've got 3+ Artifacts down. (Though, that being said, if I'm going to wait to play it, there are other options that can be put into the deck in it's stead)

I also hadn't thought of the leveling dragonmaster (from Rise of Eldrazi, right?) Though the Hoard-Smelter Dragon is really only in there as a big, beefy 5/5 flyer with the ability to blow up enemy artifacts and get bigger for it. (Again, that being said, his ability is like a weaker version of Demolish, even has Demolish's cost, but rather than being either a artifact OR a land, its artifact only, and gain +X/+0 where X is the destroyed artifact's converted mana cost.)

This deck looks nice, but cards like Shatter, Demolish, Hoard-Smelter Dragon, etc. would turn it into a pile of scrap if you aren't careful. Looks like a fun deck to run though.

I like the construct of this deck, heavy aggro, but its got red's thirst for blood, over using greens quick ability to amass a lot of creatures. Im not so sure how it would do in my area, only because theres many players that like to play UB Control or Mono-U/Mono-B Control/Aggro. Ive got a Standard legal burn deck that Ive been running that I think would do you some good to look over (as well as get me a comment or two of your own thoughts!)
