Dropping a link to my deck here (which is a very similar build) in the hopes of a few click-throughs an comments.

Also, this really isn't a type 2 deck (I really wish cards like Hymn to Tourach were still in Standard).

I'd take Doom Blade over Dark Banishing any day. Same goes for taking Consume Spirit over Corrupt.

Also, I'd take multiples of the good spells rather than having a bunch of singletons. Increases your chances of getting what you need, when you need it.

Not a huge fan of Hellcarver in this deck. Seems like it's more likely to mess you up rather than your opponent.

I'd also probably drop the Carnophages in favour of some Diregraf Ghouls. Same stats and cost, but without the continual life drain.

I'm not personally a huge fan of Cellar Door (too much mana for too little mill/creatures). I'm also not a huge fan of having more than 60 cards in a deck (decreases your odds of getting the cards you really want, like the Alchemists).

Curse of the Bloody Tome, while solid and reliable, is pretty slow. I'd swap them out for some Trepanation Blades.

Other than that, though, this looks pretty solid. +1.

After thinking about it, I've decided against using Army of the Damned. The odds of needing it are far too low to justify spending $6-$7 on it (trying to keep this cheap, remember?). Also, the coming in to play tapped makes it much harder to turn a likely defeat into a victory.

Moan of the Damned still seems like a solid enough option, but I'm on the fence about it.

Still, I've made a few changes (details are in the main description). Thoughts would be appreciated!

I'm loving the improvements to this deck. Reconsidering some of the cards in my decks because of it.

I don't have Call to the Grave because that would make me sacrifice Grave Titans (which I really don't want to do).

I could potentially find room for Moan of the Damned and Army of the Damned, but I'm not sure what I would cut to do that.

A lot of your tactics seem to be based a lot around Sheoldred, but you only have one of her in the deck. Seems like something you should have more of to insure you can get her out reliably.

I'm putting a fairly similar deck together (though currently it's mono-black instead of UB). Is splashing blue working for you? How's cackling counterpart working out? (it looks interesting, but I haven't seen it in play yet).

I've looked at cellar door, and it just doesn't seem that useful given the amount of mana you have to put in on the off chance of maybe getting a zombie (if you are lucky). Have you played with it yet?

(Here's a link to my deck, if you would like to comment: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=260269 )

You can always get more? They're not that expensive. Still, it's not a make-or-break thing.

I don't see any real reason to run less than 4 Mayors of Avabruck in a Werewolf deck.
