It's even more updated now. I don't know if this combo deck will work... Does it have too much going on? Or can you really have too many win conditions in 1 deck? I need to try it out against a bunch of decks. Is anyone doing wolf run+pod+mimic vat+heartless summoning?

Facelift complete. Lets see how this version works.
Thanks. It's getting a face-lift though. It's a relatively fragile setup. Last night I got beat up by everything from mirran crusaders to solar flare, to a weird variation on delver... The mana base was tricky. I could get out a ton of land early on, but it didn't always stop making land when I wanted it to. I ended up drawing into way too many lands when I was trying to get creatures out. New plans are starting to form though. Stay tuned.
I really like the not-so-subtle control element here. Are you running 26 land just because you have so many types of land? Because I don't know if 2- 6 mana cost cards require that much land love. I haven't played the deck though, so you tell me. And I don't know how much you know about pod decks, but I would appreciate some help with mine. I've never put one together, but they look like a lot of fun. It's really only about the fun since I haven't lost to one yet....
I like honor a lot. I did have those in here, but I swapped it out for something... Signal pest was just another body, but also a body that could block an early mirran crusader w/ sowap attached. I've lost to that combo too many times with mono white decks. I probably WOULD run the honors though because they put my fiend hunters just out of incinerate range... Anyway. This deck was fun, but I'm working on something new now... http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=269972
This is an awesome idea. But 1 surgical extraction would ruin your fun. I like it though. +1
I think that with this deck, it's more about the board presence than anything. I WILL have more board presence than some fool who waits til turn 6 to drop his first threat. I Dread them on the next turn to get in some free damage. And it can be countered, truly. But only until it touches the graveyard when you can recast it for another 2. It''s almost like mana-leaking their mana leak. Same price anyway. (thats all that counts, right?)
Actually, I don't mind people suggesting what to put in and take out. I just got tired of people arguing with each other about nothing at all. That's why I took it down. Ethan has never hurt my feelings in the least. I told him he comes off as the king of magic, which he already knows. It's not necessarily a bad thing if you honestly don't care what people think of you. He has good advice sometimes, as do most people who play this game for more than a few months. I take everything into consideration.
I forgot to mention one of my main reason's for including the cat-boy in the main line-up. He stops stromkirk like no human can.
Maybe I'll replace the doj's with grand abolisher's though...
Actually... I guess I should explain my top secret bullshit. 2/2 cats don't care about human help, but do care about honor of the pure. If nothing else, they're a bear in the early game, and an extra pumped-up white body later in the game... Or they can just neuter artifact/enchantment based decks. React is very u/w. The 2 most defensive colors together. I think feeling of dread is perfect for me with all the additional creatures I've added. It's instant as hell and for 4 mana, it can be the surprise of the century when I tap down 4 of the opponents creatures and swing for game on the next turn. Or, it just acts like a cheaper gideon, saving my ass for 1 or 2 more turns while I build up. Even if they counter it, I can still tap 2 down. It will be interesting to see how it plays out, for sure. Mana leak sits in my hand until later in the game, most of the time, because I'm busy trying to play my own creatures. It's an awesome card, but its better in the decks that aren't playing things on turns 1, 2, and 3. I wanted a faster deck with more threats. Maybe this will work.
And captain's maneuver is a fun(ny?) sideboard card.
I like this build a lot. It reminds me of a casual deck I had a while back. I had a bunch of hearthfire hobgoblins in there to act as my mirran crusaders (of sorts). Red and white can be a nasty combo. +1
How about this? +4 signal pests.
What are the rootbound crags in there for? You could replace those with 3 contested warzones for the win.
I had chimeric mass in here... I'm not sure where it went.
Actually, there were only 2 elspeth's in the original. And check out my new deck. It uses a lot of the same cards with the addition of some key new cards. It's a double-deck design. I hope it works! http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=268022
No problem. 1 sword of feast and famine 3 geist of st. traft 3 mirran crusaders 4 doomed travelers 4 hero of bladeholds 3 elspeth tirels 3 angelic destinies 2 oblivion rings 4 mana leaks 3 midnight hauntings 4 honor of the pure's Land- 4 glacial fortress 13 plains 2 seachrome coasts 3 islands 3 moorland haunts Sideboard 3 grand abolishers 2 oblivion ring 4 timely reinforcements 3 leonin-relic warders 3 fiend hunters That's pretty much it. Or close enough to it. Enjoy!
It's nice to know that it's not that crazy an idea then. And I hope it works how I want it to. It should be fun, if nothing else.
I know all about playing against the shrine. It's one of those cards you will let come out and stay out because it's not an immediate threat. But once you let a couple turns go by and a bunch of cheap white spells are cast, it's basically game over in the next turn or 2 unless they have doj or ratchet bomb handy. Also, with both intangible virtue and honor of the pure in there, those are some NASTY tokens. I'm looking forward to seeing how this plays out.
