Cool little build! I love how you've stacked up the big defense creatures and then assault formation! that's just bad ass ;)

Looks like a fun deck to run. You should consider adding Satyr Firedancer into this. I works a little like Guttersnipe. Whenever you deal direct damage to a player, Satyr deals that same amount of damage to one of their creatures.
It will be interesting to see how it plays with a new tune. My ultimate thought is that this deck is very good at doing what it was meant to do- screw with your opponents creatures ysing uvenwald and setasin tactics, silklash is good and I would run more than o e if it were me. Stock with that- I would find a way to throw in rancour for when you get khalni or primal crux out. I woukd cut mist cutter hydra from the sideboard in favor of ageless entity if you are going to run nyleas disciple.
Cool deck man! Love the theme! I know she's mono- white at the moment but if you wanted to experiment with a splash of green you could throw in doubling season, hardened scales, and rancour ( to let tge bushido counters trample) . 2 enduring scalelords woukd get huge in this deck if you could cheat them in together using something like defense of the heart. Innistrad has a green I stand called clip wings that could help take down some flyers for you, but your dawn charms should help with the fog effect. Nice build!
here is the link to the version i worked on a bit, its pretty close to yours but a little different spin http://www.mtgvault.com/jukeboxhero00/decks/unholster-my-bolster/
If you don't mind I woukd like to clone your deck to try playing around with it a bit. I won't publish it for quite a while , I just want to test this bolster ability out a bit.
I suppose your hardened scales kind of does the same thing but doubling season plus hardened scales woukd be crazy - woukd that actually be an infinite ? You bolster a counter , hardened scales see's that and adds a counters, doubling season see's both those events and doubles them, hardened scales again see's that....
Doubling season would be cool in this deck- double all your +1/+1 counters
A couple cards I thought would be cool in this deck were : epic struggle ( once you get 20 creatures you win, never have to worry about your tokens getting board wiped or nuked) . Platinum Angel could be cool at holding off a loss until you can pull off your combos especially if you can throw whispersilk cloak in; gaeas cradle woukd give you some good mana ramp for those X casting cost spells; windswept Heath woukd let you fetch lands you needed and thin the deck out for the long game. I always like to see Angel decks ??
Cool, sorry for the pointless recommend, I am just getting back into the game and am still trying to catch up on a decade + worth of new cards
My first thought if I had to go up against this woukd be to grab a mill deck or a wicked fast burn deck. Do you have anything that lets you reshuffle your graveyard back to your library? ( forgive me for not going though each card) maybe like elixir of immortality- that could be cool in this . I have a deck similar, to a degree, in style. As you stated , no deck is unbeatable. When I have run decks similar to this the decks that give them trouble quick aggro decks that put you on the defensive early and oftentimes the game will over by turn 4 or 5.
But shroud would, correct?
I guess I was looking at the original text as it says " all players bury one target non artifact creature..." Thinking that the preface of "players" instead of " the abyss buries one target creature." The player who controls the creature chooses right? Or does the owner of Abyss choose which creature dies? Cool effect, I'll check out your link to that other deck too
What say ye Pushkin ? I haven't run abyss enough to know the rulings on it.
I like the deck idea here but I have to wonder if it works- Abyss doesn't actually "target" a creature, it targets a player who then willingly sacrifices a creature so I have to think you would still have to sac one of your creatures. It would be interesting to get someone who is a judge to weigh in on this.
That Stigma Lasher is vicious ! Would Giant growth be better than mutagenic growth here or did you use mutagenic for format legality ? Kird Ape and some dual lands or even just splash some forests in to make him the 2/3 would be cool in here too.
Sweet build. I just put up a deck list of a mono black I ran as a kid. Awesome to see a few others out there. Looks like a fun deck to play!
Cool Deck. I just put together one of these my self (old school black) . These were such fun decks to play. I was really tempted to put in Yawgomoth's but I was trying to stick to Alliances and back- nice build dude
I think you could run it without too much impact by dropping the count on a 4 of your land destruction sorcery cards from 4 to 3, then run two eggs and two exquisite bloods. Since you run tutors pretty heavy you can afford to run a little lighter on key combo pieces. Odds are you will draw into half the combo and can tutor for the other. One other thought woukd be to sub two if your diabolical tutors for one demonic and one vampiric. That would let you get the key cards rolling up to two turns earlier which can be really big when your talking land destruction.
Although I'm not sure if it's legal in standard Dingus Egg would be cool to run in this as would exquisite blood. Deal more Damage when lands die, and gain life from it.
