And I still like Mana Leak over Ixidors. Ixidors is much, much more powerful with your wizard deck...but i think Mana Leak is much more tricky. It makes the opponent think. It can trick them into tapping out all of their lands. Regardless, Mana Leak and Ixidor is really good for this deck.

High Tide...yeah, there is a famous deck actually named "High Tide" that was very deadly back in the day. What happened with the Disruptive Pitmage?
Fit 4 copies of High Tide...maybe? It speeds the deck up. For One Blue mana ever other land, until end of turn, you tap produces an extra blue mana. Turn 4, a land drop every turn, High Tide gives you 6 mana. Most of your cards in this deck cost 3 mana. Turn 4, with high tide, you could play 2 of those cards. The extra mana could be used to play a wizard or be used to pay Pitmage/Patron Wizard's abilities. High Tide goes well with Howling Mine, if you are drawing 2 cards every turn, might as well have the extra mana to cast them. Would take out Daring Apprentice for it. Or, instead of the Counterspell put in Mana Leak. Mana Leak, counter target spell unless the opponent pays 3 mana. If they tap out the mana, it makes Disruptive Pitmage and Patron Wizard more of a threat. Either they get a counter spelled by you OR they tap 3 mana and most likely will not be able to play a second spell that turn due to Pitmage and Patron.
http://www.mtgvault.com/eridian22/decks/elfball/ Nice Deck.
Added Delirium Skeins. Each player discards 3 cards. Also, Bottomless Pit makes me discard a card every turn. Plus Chains of Smog...lots of players, when I cast the card and make them discard 2 cards...they choose to shoot it back at me causing me to discard 2 cards. So, it is very easy for me to be out of cards by turn 4 (without wasting spells on myself), and when Ensnaring Bridge is out none of my opponent's can not attack me. But, you are right, and I can tell that you know your stuff Eridian22. A major weakness in this deck is direct burn. A really decent burn deck will kill me most of the time. But almost every single deck in Magic history has another deck that can beat it. Every deck is weak against some other deck. However, don't sell the Ensnaring Bridge idea short. It does work. Especially if a player is not playing any artifact removal (again, a quick red burn deck will be running artifact destruction). Ensnaring Bridge is one of the top voted Artifacts in Magic. Was trying to put it in use, correctly. And was putting a spin on discard idea. Making myself discard cards to my advantage...it is a neat idea. And look at the Guiltfeeder. His power is 0. So he can attack regardless of if I have the Bridge out or not. My creature can attack but my opponent's creatures can not attack. I make my opponent have 10 or 12 cards in their graveyard. So the Guiltfeeder is still a 0/4 but if he is unblocked it causes 10 or 12 points of damage.
True that. Fast burn is one of the enemies of this deck. You are very right. However, by turn 3 I am usually out of cards or down to 1 or 2 cards in my hand without even having to play any spells on myself.
Regardless, I think the deck shows more promise and talent than most of the decks I build. Good job!
Dragon77, there are much better Magic players that can give you ideas than I can. Personally, I simply liked the balance of the three colors in your first deck. And the Groundskeeper too.
http://www.mtgvault.com/jessie/decks/artifact-2-mana-or-less/Just made this deck. Haven't bought the cards yet.
It is pure lockdown.
Eridian22, the Ensnaring Bridge is the powerhouse in this deck.
Agree. The first version was 3 colors that was very balanced. The deck is all over the place now. Still, it is on the front page. None of my decks have done that. So, good job on that.
Not a bad Idea.
I was sorta thinking Howling Mine too. Lets you draw two cards every turn ensuring you get a land every drop.
I agree with some of the other people. Take out 4 lands and add in 4 copies of a creature that can add mana to your mana pool. Weakness with this deck is that you are tapping all of your lands to cast the spells. If all of your lands are tapped...that leaves nothing to attack/block with (unless you have 5 mana available and Rude Awakening in your hand). Use the creature to tap for mana and use your untapped Land as a creature.
Very neat deck. Good job!
This deck is very deadly. Very deceptive. Very easy for Guiltfeeder to be a 12/4 or 13/4 or higher. Very easy for the Nihil Stone to cause 5 damage a turn to opponent. Ensnaring bridge is very aggravating to play against. When you empty your own hand and their hand by turn 3, they can not attack you. When I play against this deck, I usually lose 4 out of 5 games.
Thanks for the advice!!
Maybe Mycosynth Golem? It has Affinity. In this deck it would basically be free to cast. Or maybe could add Tinker in the deck. Sac Tinker for one of the giants. Just throwing out ideas. I think the deck is nice!! Artifact lands, evil, right? lol
Nasty. Maybe add a giant Artifact beast? One that cost 11 mana or so :) Mycosynth Golem (has Affinity, fitting for your deck), or DarkSteel Colossus, or Pathrazer. And 4 Tolarian Academy. Did you know with the new Legend rule that you can: (if you have not played a land yet) tap Tolarian Academy for say 5 blue mana, then cast another Tolarian Academy from your hand (the old one goes to your graveyard) and tap it for 5 more blue mana. Broken. Hell, the card is broken period in Artifact decks.
