Also you can play seachrome coast, so you probably should.
I like angelic destiny better than elder as you will be able to hardcast much more reliably and you get it back if your guy dies.
Other auras to consider are angelic destiny, celestial mantle, protective bubble, steal of the godhead.
For modern: Ponder and Preordain to serum visions and sleight of hand
Forgot one thing! Whipflare is an all-star side board for this deck, Handles Geist of Saint Traft, Mirran Crusader, Stalkers, Huntmasters, Blade Splicers, Porcelain Legionnaire ...etc while usually netting you some health and your opponent damage via blood artist! Best of luck and hope your having as much fun as I am playing this deck. :D
Great looking deck, I have a very similar build I have been using. One recommendation, up the Brimstone's to 4 and SB the Arc Trail if you want to keep them. These are only really useful against lingering souls and you already have the Fume Spitters and slips for Delvers. With the amount of sac from the Aristocrats alone you will almost always get 5 to the face out of the volley. Won me more games than Geralf's or Falkenrath! Another note is although Distress gives you more options, Appetite for brains is one cheaper and almost always gets a restoration angel, huntmaster, day of judgment or titan when played at the right time. Also EXILE not discard! Bye-Bye for good.
Did you play this deck online last night?
Now this looks pretty badass! I will have to look at this and more modern cards before I can say that it is perfect but solid at first glance.
This deck seems like it is contradicting itself. Tamiyo is a late game control Walker and your starting with delvers and invisible stalkers to put quick damage on. Guess Tamiyo is a secondary win-con, if you can't beat enough face you'll slow them down long enough to get the last couple points of damage in.... Obviously snapcaster is way more useful that wingcrafter here. Why do you need delvers to fly they do that themselves and stalkers are unblockable so. I know you don't own any but this is basically a terrible version of delver that does not maximize anything, you are lacking the white removal (O-Ring) hexproof tank Geist of Saint Traft and the utility Snapcaster provides to reuse Snag/Ponder/Gut shot/Leak etc If your trying to make flying hexproof guys a spirit army is much more effective the captains give +1/+1 and hexproof plus boost and protect each other. The cards are all pretty cheap too meaning you can just hold onto a few and if they clear the battlefield then you just play those guys and keep the clock on their life total. Could still utilize snags and pikes if you want as spirit generators Lingering souls and Midnight haunting are a sorcery and an instant respectively.Possibly just faster to use intangible virtue, your tokens are stronger and have vigilance and or honor of the pure which boosts the captain as well. Basically try to have a single strategy and make it as most effective as possible then decide if you have room to put in a back up plan.
Pretty much this is a Tokens decks, just with higher costing cards so you are a mid to late game instead of quick death. This is fine as you tokens will be bigger and badder but they are still tokens one ratchet bomb at 0 leaves you with a bunch of weak guys with pump effect but nothing to pump. Also Day of judgment kills all, as does Black Sun's and for the most part Slagstorm not to mention Devastaion Tide (return all to hand) or Terminus (bottom of library) and Turn aside does nothing against these. That is why the cheap tokens works because you can kill before they stabilize or keep putting out threats fast afterward. Even if you could save some with blink effect which i am not sure about you will still be put back very far as your dude cost so much. A more resilient golem strategy may be to use Titan forges and proliferate mechanic then just use the best splicers (Blade and perhaps Wing as they are cheaper) now you can have 9/9 flying first strike golems plus the ones they produce. Who needs 6 golems when 1 can kill you in 2 turns... almost :) Anyway those are some thoughts as I definitely tried to build one of these right when Phyrexia came out. Is a fun idea, but not competitive in my opinion. :P
Also put in a Dungeon Geists until you get the second Tamiyo.
Recommend taking out Psychic Barrier as many decks will be running Cavern of Souls! Replace with Ponders to help you gain more card advantage or line up your Miracle. Blighted Agent is the only creature delivering infect and without proliferate effects he will almost never win it for you. Switch out with Invisible Stalkers as they also have Hexproof and will attack life with the Delvers. One last thing, I would drop a Deadeye for a 4th Snapcaster as this will lower your mana curve, create another prime target to bond with the remaining 2 Deadeyes and get you more uses out of those Ponders or Vapor Snags. Let me know as soon as your ankle is better so we can hit FNM!
I played a deck close to this recently and the guy used Primeval Titans to get forests and wolf run which eventually made his Dungroves 16/16 with the option to trample and pump. I only survived due to the fact that I soulbonded a Silverheart with a Vorapede and then equipped Batterskull to the Vorapede! Check out my all original Heartless Ramp deck that would be a very fun match-up to your Green Aggro! Thanks! http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=340818
Great uses for the Restoration Angel! Looks like an interesting deck to play against my all original Heartless Ramp design! http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=340818
The BOP are great for early ramp, but maybe trade the tribute to hungers for Doomed Travelers. This would get you 3 bodies if Parallel is out for 1 mana and pump the Champion also! Also Somberwald Sage is great for a bit later ramp and pumps the Champion too. Best of luck! If you have a minute check out my all original Heartless Ramp design! Thanks http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=340818
I would totally add doomed traveler to this instead of diregraf, yes only 1/1 but 2 bodies to sac and 1 is flying. Looks like a fun deck, good job! If you have a minute check out my all original Heartless Ramp design! Thanks http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=340818
A furnace scamp might be a more useful 1 drop than arsonist, especially if you can bond with the mauler for a quick 4 damage.
