DualPrinciple is right in this matter and yes it only works on sorceries and instants only you cant copy creatures or non-basic lands etc.

This is my vampire deck it is in no way perfect but its really fast and fun .. im looking to add in newer vampires into the mix but havent gotten around to it lately. This may give you some ideas.

Nice deck i really like your idea and twists you have here i am currently in the process of making a knight deck but missing some important cards.

If i may offer my opinion on your deck:

First of all i am going to suggest some knights and spells that can be looked at that may make your deck better and be included into your side board for some control.

1)Accorder Paladin - Battle Cry
2)White Knight - First strike protection from black
3)Silver Knight - First strike protection from red
4)Knight Meadowgrain - First strike, lifelink
5)Mirran Crusadder - Double strike, protection from green and black
6)Grand Abolisher - Yes i know he isnt a knight but his ability: During your turn, your opponents cant cast spells or activate abilities of artifacts, creatures, or enchantments really comes in handy
7)Knight of Glory - Protection from black and exhalted.
8)Pacifism
9)Oblivion Ring or Journey to Nowhere
10) Brave the Elements - For protection from whatever color of deck your playing for an unblockable swing for massive damage.
11) Serra's Blessing - 2 mana enchantment - Attacking does not cause creatures you control to tap (i honestly think is a very underestimated card)

Next thing i want to suggest is cards that i think could be removed:

Adaptive Automaton - Yes his ability is pretty good but honestly your deck doesnt really need him at all if you have your Honor of the Pure or Crusade plus your Knight Exemplar it should be enough to take on anything he is in my opinion just taking up space.

Armored Ascension - Not a bad card yes it can make your creatures insanely strong its just to high cost by the time you are able to play that card you could be playing some bigger drops that could add more synergy i think this card just takes up space also.

Pariah - I personally think Pariah is a good card it takes away any red burn decks that hit you straight on towards your indestructible creatures but if you make a good indestructible knight deck trust me they arent worried about bringing your health down they will be more worried about your creatures that are swinging and taking their creatures out like nothing. I think you could replace this card with Brave the Elements.

Personally i always like throwing in a high mana cost card if it happens to go that far into the game that really helps me out .. for example Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite or Archangel of Strife just for some fun randomness.

Well i hope i kinda gave some ideas on other knights or combos etc just sparked any ideas i hope to hear a response back from you as my knight deck will be coming online soon i will post the link when it is finished.

Personally in my opinion:

If your running a black and red vampire deck i wouldnt even use Vampire Nocturnus .. yes he is an amazing vampire card but the chances of having a black card on top is pretty slim even with the fetch lands to shuffle id recommend replacing him with Bloodline Keeper if anything.

Also remove your mountains because the amount of dual lands you have should compensate for your red cards as most of your red cards only has 1 red mana in their mana cost. Id recommend replacing your mountains with another set of dual lands so itd look like this .... 4 Dragonskull summits, 4 Blackcleave Cliffs, 4 Verdant Catacombs, and 4 other duel land colors and 5 swamps for a total of 21 lands you could even gain to add a couple more swamps.

Also since you have your Stromkirk Captains you dont nessicarily need 2 Captivating vampires ... yes good card and activated ability but you could use other cards somewhere else.

Well just my opinion or at least some food for thought.

My personal opinion:

Would be to remove the Vampire Nocturnus ... yes i know he is an amazing vampire to have trust me i run him in my mono black vampire deck but in a black/red deck you have a smaller chance of having that black card on top of your deck.

Id also run 4 dragonskull summit and take out your 4 mountains in general .. the amount of your dual lands should compensate for your red cards as they all usually have only one red mana in their cost.

Id also recommend taking out Falkenrath Marauders and look into replacing him with something better he is just a to high of drop for a B/R deck ... by the time you get him out you should already be set for victory.

Maybe look into Mirri the Cursed and Basilisk Collars her activated ability with a Basilisk Collar is pretty deadly and as you kill creatures you increase her power and toughness plus she costs 1 less to cast then your Falkenrath Maruader.

I dont know just my opinions or at least some food for some thought.

Thats what i thought too, but honestly this deck runs pretty smoothly most of the times i play it the odd time i get mana screwed. What are your suggestions for making it better id love to here and better my deck! Thank you!

That is what it is based off of getting my Hedrons's out as fast as i can then fetch landing then finding a land and milling them for 6 each turn until i get another Hedron.

That is such a good idea ill end up trying that out for sure i might even make another deck just for the sole purpose of that.

But i think im going to leave this deck the way it is with just the crabs to piss people off ha ha.

Dude i dont know why but i had a dream about that card and i woke up and had to make the deck, its probably the coolest deck i have ever made and yes it is pretty funny. Its going to be an unstoppable deck i think ha ha.

An idea maybe you might like would be adding Hedron Crab and some fetch lands. Since the fetch lands are still considersed a land they would lose the top 3 cards of their library and if you happen to pay the life to find a land to put on the battlefield they lose another 3 cards. Just a suggestion it works really well when you combine it with a mill deck.

With all the above comments i must agree with them all -2 Grimoire of the Dead, -2 Rooftop Storm, -2 Liliana of the Veil.

For example of zombie cards maybe try Lich Lord of Unx, Vedalken Ghoul, etc etc. I dont know exactly why you have Jace, Memory Adept in there unless your trying to also win by milling? So if you just want zombies i recommend removing them and adding counter spells, or removal spells, etc. Unless you want mill as a backup maybe add more mill cards like Dream Twist, Glimpse the Unthinkable, etc.

Just some suggestion.

Not a bad deck but you still kind of have to many high mana creatures in this deck. Vampire decks are usually a faster paced kind of game and definately do not hold out in the long run.

Malakir Bloodwitch is a good card but its more of a sideboard card usually included when you know your verusing white decks. Or Malakir Bloodwitch+Buried Alive+Living Death is a pretty nifty combo i like to do.

Corrput though im not fond of that card just costs too much for not that good of a benefit i personally recommend exsanguinate its a good single or multi player card. Or im sure there are other cards out there that you can replace it with.

I run a vampire deck although its called "The Vampire Diaries" ha ha, im sorry to say but i love the series but anyways check it out if you like:

Im thinking of including Heartless Summoning into this deck, my creatures cost 2 less to cast but with Cemetery Reaper my zombies wouldnt be affected and eventually boosted if i got another one on the field. Any ideas on that?

Not a bad deck,

but i would recommend taking out tome scour and replacing with Dream Twist...Dream Twist has flashback which in the end can put more cards into their graveyard than tome scour can.

I like your quest for the ancient secrets but then again a downfall for it is when you get all your cards back and wont draw the ones you need kind of thing. Im also not fond of the tutors personally. They are good i guess for finding that card you need at the moment. But with a mill deck every card you draw you should be able to play rather quickly but that is just me.

Id recommend Go for the Throat in the sideboard incase of coming across any black decks or such so you can switch out your doom blades. Id have to think on your deck to offer some suggestions but its a pretty solid deck.

And when it comes to mono-black zombies i still do recommend Carnophage. Its a 1 drop 2/2 as you already know. But if you get him going its easy damage off the beginning. Another creature to look into might be Warpath Ghoul a 3 drop 3/2 creature he isnt bad but pretty good.

I would recommend bumping up your go for the throats/doom blades since its your only way to deal with the opponents creatures.

But other than that its a sweet deck and makes me want to make a mono black zombie deck again. +1

I know this is a mill deck but even mill decks need at least some form of counters. I know you have 2 Mana Leaks but it just isnt enough. I always run some counters like Counterspell, Cancel, Mana Leak, or Negate and some form of removal.

Until you get the zombies on the field and your strong cards you definately need a way to get rid of the opponents creatures/spells until that point. Just a suggestion.

Also just so you know Rooftop Storm wont work for Grave Titan. I really wanted to use that combo i just assumed he was a zombie but it is a giant so i took my rooftop storms out of my deck.

Another card you might look into would be Dream Twist. Its pretty much like tome scour. Opponent puts top 3 cards into their graveyard from their library but it has flashback which is a huge bonus!!
