I felt the exact same way as you t first but I'll explain

drawing a swamp is drawing a swamp yes.. but think about it in numbers, you draw a swamp, you have 59 cards left, probably for nonland cards increases...
now think of it like this, you draw a verdant catacombs, go to 59 cards, sac and search you go to 58 cards

you're cutting the lands you draw twice as fast, thus producing a greater probability to draw more spells and creatures

well your 57/60 cards so far
and by the looks of it your deck seems to be a strong late game deck
however due to this strength is seems it is very weak early on, in fact the only defense it has is lightning bolt, and pyroclasm, all of your creatures that i saw were 4+ mana and the only way to get creatures of that size is your djinn, who is also 5 mana

maybe so light defensive creatures like that 0/4 kraken, or something in those regards until you can get movin
also, in my opinion drop jace, i realize you're using him for the draw cards, but you can replace him with howling mine, 2 colorless mana cost vs. 3, he does the exact same thing and his -10 takes soooo long to get to, it's absurd.

ahhh verdant catacombs allows the swamp to come in untapped and it requires no additional mana to be tapped.

very smart, i didn't think of verdant catacombs

the search lands i could see would improve the deck, sorin is a six mana cost planeswalker, can't have him out by at least turn six, granted yes he is good, i think having only one will allow for a late game draw

the drawback i see with the fetch lands are that having an aggro based deck, having my swamps come into play tapped is going to slow me down on my aggro, yes it is good late game but early on i feel the lack of speed hurts in the end

guess I just need to play it with both and see which i feel works better, thanks man :)

ha i know exactly what you mean about the nocturnus, ridiculously expensive

i have about half the cards to my mono black vamp deck... except nocturnus, he's $60 for 4!

honestly stopped me from making the deck
got my eye on the grixis control i just made, should come out to be about $40 total, can't beat that price now a days

i myself modeled it off my jund deck.. but i feel like you cant run a deck thats multi without terminate and blightning now

seems strong.. who knows

Trade two Bituminous Blast to up hideous end and terminate
Bit blast is a late game spell, but is effective with the high mana cost cascade.
The reason I say trade it to up the two others is because they will allow you to flat out destroy target creature, where bit blast only deals four damage to a single target creature.
You'll be thankful you have a terminate or hideous end over a bit blast against that 5/5

it is also nice to have those low mana instants during the attack phase because for the price of one bit blast you can hideous end and terminate 2 creatures, yea you have a gamble to cascade a terminate or hideous end but chances are you'll probably only get a bloodghast or something

just my opinion, lemme know how black red vamps do for you, seems a lot strong then mono black aggro
