i truly envy your budget my friend. That being said, this is my favourite of your decks so far. Nasty control. Would love to have 500$ available to put this together =)

most annoying way to be getting your emrakul stopped : gideon lawkeeper =)
very constructive mate. keep it up
having a hard figuring out which format this is supposed to be. Ponder is banned modern so thats out. Leaves us with a few formats in which this deck doesnt stand a chance. So why again is it front page ? Im just curious about the reasoning of things around here.
then why not run 60 chancellor of the dross ?
Am i just an idiot or does unsummon (M13) does pretty much the same thing as vapor snag ... Unsummon has the advantage of not taking the 1 damage if you unsummon your own creatures. I dunno, maybe theres something i havent seen..
Flash + Protean hulk Protean lets you pick up ALL your 0 costing creatures, and 2 spirit guides. Sadly, flash is restricted in the format you are playing (vintage) So you'll only have one. Your deck is lacking draw big times. Otherwise everything works pretty well. If you dont get glimpse, you will never reach the number of cards needed to be played to win. My advice would be to cut down the number of different combos, stick with tendrils and add a whole lot of draw (gitaxian probes and the like)
what is your 'god hand' with this ? Maybe i didnt get lucky, but after 20 sample hands and not seeing anything above 15 damage on turn 4... i kinda gave up. You have no trample effect. How do you suppose you're gonna get past anyone's defence ? Most your elves are too valuable as a mana producing tool to lose in combat unless you are sure it will go unblocked. Why do you not play at least Heedless one with all the elves you will have in play (it does have trample too, which you lack). Joraga warcaller if also very strong with all the mana you'll produce. I really dont see how you can 'swing for the win' on turn 3/4, unless your opponent has no creature on the board. Also, just your land count made me mulligan at least 40% of the sample hands i did. You really need to be able to drop 2 lands on the first 2 two turns, otherwise you wont be able to play Elvish archdruid on turn 2, which is the key to strong damage on turn 3/4. This is my modern legal elf deck : http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=260800 God hand does around 30-35 damage on turn 4. It has some resilience with Asceticism, can swing past chump blockers from wheeny decks, can swing past life gain decks with triumph of the horde AND can survive board sweeps with Garruk, Asceticism, Ezuri renegade. Oh and it costs 30 bucks to make ;) If i put back in vines of vastwood or another similar +4/+4 cheap boost spell, i can do 44 trample damage on turn 4. Turn 1 forest, llanowar Turn 2 Forest elvish archdruid Turn 3 forest llanowar, jagged scar archer, Turn 4 Vines kicked on jagged, llanowar, Overwhelming stampede Jagged scar is at 10/10 with vines, OS gives it +10/+10 and to all others. 2 Llanowars can attack for 12 and jagged attacks for 20. There might be better hands but i havent found it =) Oh and if you play against a marty of sands deck, you can still win with triumph instead of OS, if they somehow have more than 44 life including their chumpers.
It will be soon enough. Reprinted for M13 =)
If you're into that, you could head into equipments with those humans, as there are plenty of equipment that synergize well with humans AND are common. (Ardent recruit, Auriok sunchaser, sunspear shikari) Also, unless you really NEED to keep it pauper, there are LOTS of uncommons that will not cost more than 3-10c online. Even rares can be cheap and useful in your deck (riders of gavony) You can check out some of my budget decks for ideas of cheap cards, i usually keep my decks under 30$. Obviously if you dont have 20-30$ to spend, keeping it pauper will help a lot =)
Since Shahrazad is banned and all that, wouldn't it be easier to just create a 4-of of all power 9 cards and win before any of those annoying cards can hit the board ? Maybe im a bubble buster, but i just dont get the whole game of using of cards that are banned in all formats.
Demonic tutor is restricted at best in Vintage, banned in Legacy. Of course if you're playing with houserules, have at it =) But if you are, then why not play other even more powerful restricted cards (time walk and such)
Russet wolves. Every dark ascension booster has one. You will never play it in any format because any other wolf is better. a 3/3 for 4 with no abilities. I dont care how you cheat it in play, anything else is better. The ony real horrible cards so far are the boomerang and ember shot. Though im willing to bet someone could come up with something for em. Try making a good deck out of russet wolves as the main beater.
Feeling of dread ?
Thank you Natzito for making it clear for our delusionnal friend manofwar51 : Elves are not competitive in legacy. And this is horrible even if it were standard legal. To manofwar51 : Yes i can see this is legacy. This is the easy part. I was saying this could in no way be good for legacy, so why not drop a notch and switch to modern, since there are not that many legacy only cards in there. And the one he picked are not even the 'proper' ones (see Natzito's reply) Wish my local meta contained that many horrible decks.
Woah, first time i draw a simple hand to laugh at the odds of picking the god hand... and sure enough i draw it ... im gonna go buy a lottery ticket now. Also, as others have said, remove the rings and make it legal in at least one format and you have a pretty descent deck.
No darksteel citadel ?
Be pretty fun if your opponent had played first. and lightning bolted or w/e 2+ damage card after all your improbable combo went off =) Right before annihilator goes off
