Door of destinies and werewolfs

Hi.

If i play door of destinies and call werewolf as my creature type does it receive a counter when the wolfs flip?

No, transforming isn't entering the battlefield. That's why you'll see cards that say "when this enters the battlefield or transforms, do x"

Actually, the Door does not gain charges when a creature of that type "enters the battlefield".

It gains a counter when you _cast a creature spell of that type_. It gains that counter even if the spell is countered - you stil CAST it, even if it does not take effect.

Having a creature of the appropriate type enter the battlefield by any means other than casting a creature spell of that type, does NOT trigger the Door of Destinies. :)

A good example of this would be the "Adaptive Automaton". IF you have a Door out, and it's type is "Golem" ... even if you key the Automaton to "Golem" as a creature type, _it is not a Golem SPELL_ and the Door will not gain a counter.
